Epstein died young but what he accomplished in his short life most people could not attain in ten lifetimes. Without Epstein there would have been no Beatlemania. His dogged efforts and clever marketing (he bought hundreds or perhaps thousands of copies of 'Love Me Do' to boost the Beatles profile in '62 when they were unknown except in Liverpool) and his network of music industry promoters went a long way in finally getting the Beatles' record contract with George Martin and EMI. Let's salute Brian Epstein for being instrumental in delivering the greatest rock band that ever lived and the cultural changes and unforgettable music the Beatles brought into the world.

BEEP - BEEP. Thanks. Another very interesting upload. I loved Jack, he was a great character, very funny. The Duckworth house wasn't civered in Pebble Dashing, it was covered in Stone Cladding but lets not quibble. Very was so very proud when they had that done 😂. It's understandably that us fans wanted him to stay but his health should have come first, unfortunately all good things come to an end, never know, if he had retired earlier he may have lived longer. RIP 'Jack'.

BEEP - BEEP. I envy you getting to talk with the stars of Corrie. What years were you a 'supporting actors'?' Did you get to meet Pat? She was one of my favourites. I used to be a MASSIVE fan of Corrie, Back in the 80s i brought the 1st ever episode on video cassette & wrote to Granada TV who sent me photo's of the actors. I kept a scrap book of anything in our news paper that had anything to do with Corrie, I dedicated a whole bedroom wall to it (see, I wasn't exaggerating). I even bought Pat's books. People were surprised when I stopped watching it as i had been a fan for as long as I coupd remember, I was known for it but I stopped watching just before Michelle Collin entered the Street as it had lost itself spark, the stiry lines were not nearly as good, the quality was no longer there, it could make you laugh/cry/ think, have you on the edge of your seat but not any more. Shock story lines just for the sake of it, I know hate Soaps. 😢

Hi Alan, yet another terrific VLOG about an enigma that was Brian Epstein. One cannot underestimate the ability and foresight of this guy. His use of the media, exploitation on the American market, eye for raw talent was just phenomenal. Given the law at the time his conflict with his sexuality and person that he was, trying to remain under the radar one can understand why he had an addiction which sadly ended his all too short life. It’s probably impossible for many today to understand what Brian and others like him had to endure before the decriminalisation of homosexuality in 1967, albeit it’s taken many, many years to change society and opinions to provide equal opportunity and treatment and whilst significant progress has been made it’s still work in progress. Blimey, that’s all a bit serious from me a heterosexual old guy from Life on Mars! Look forward to your next Vlog, we are off to tour Scotland this week for a month. All the best and take care , climbing walls at your age is asking for trouble. 😂

Hi Cfp I understand totally about the homosexual thing I seen so nany excellent films and documentaries about the time it was unbelievable how people were abused by the law just because of their sexuality. Thank goodness that's got a lot better recently. I plan to go to Scotland myself for the same month but unfortunately I've had to change plans. But I hope you have a wonderful time It's great! Don't worry about climbing I've paid for stand in to do the action scenes for me it cost me a lot because he had to have his head shaved 😅😎

A lovely tribute Alan. I'm currently reading Mark Lewisohn's expanded biography of The Beatles called "The Beatle Tune In". It's a forensically detailed documented record of their history. Part 1, published in 2013, goes from1845 (their grandparents era) up to 1962. It's a fantastic read. I believe he is currently working on part 2. I highly recommend any Beatles fan to read it.
