I miss her so much. She was so wonderful and authentic. I was in Paris around the corner from where she died, but I didn't know what was going on at the time. The next morning BBC was on in the hotel room and I saw the car being lifted, and I thought, oh my God! That's what it was... Whoever was in there can't be alive. Then I saw Diana on the screen. I burst into tears and then I ran down to the street. The energy was absolutely terrible. So quiet. People were sobbing. The newsstands were just plastered with papers, "Diana is Dead," "La Mort de Lady Diana." I mindlessly bought a couple, and I still have them. I was so young, but I looked up to her and just thought she was the epitome of strength and grace, of elegance and dedication. My time in France was tarnished, it was really awful. We waited until Prince Charles got her body, out of respect, and then wandered the streets for hours. Ugh, I just cried. I couldn't believe that happened to her, and I was right there. I felt so horrible for her. It must've been awful. I love seeing her as she was with her boys and laughing. She really took the worst situation and took hold of her life. She stepped into her power. She did a lot of good in her short time. I really despised Charles back then and Camilla. Personally, I could see she never looked happy around him. She looked hurt and she looked like a young girl being bullied by a clique at school. That was my impression, anyway. I'm glad we have these tapes of her. I so wish she were here and we could see her with her grandchildren. She'd be blissful. I think Harry, in particular, really has needed his mum and her support, and she would be right there protecting her son, guiding him... unconditionally. ❤️

Camilla was not an option for marriage. Diana was simply too good of an option to say NO to. Supposedly he had tried to walk away from Camilla several times but eventually the conflicts with Diana (his own jealousy and her struggles with Bulimia, depression, etc) were too much and he left for good. Peter's line of questioning was initially general and generic about her dreams; goals; wishes and aspirations. The answer Lady Diana gave took the line of questioning to a darker place. @ 1:50 Yes Lady Diana was changing and this was reflecting in her choice of charity work. Lady Diana "my DUTIES and ROLE have DRAWN me into these areas"! Not "My EXPERIENCES within my environment have sparked an interest into these areas"! This is a very interesting choice of words for someone who was struggling with words. Again this is not a criticism but an observation. @ 2:40 Her answer for to the question about showing an interest in issues like HIV/AIDS is very telling; the fact that she was not afraid to confront the subject of death and serious illness. Whereas everybody else was treating this subject as "taboo". Even post Lady Diana the Royal Family prefer to discuss softer subjects like Mental Health and still don't understand the subject.
