The duchess isn't a princess! The reporter should know it is an offence to mistitle a member of the royal family. princess only whom born or adopted a girl, doesn't matter if not the queen is the mother, from the king or adopted by the reigning queen or from the crown Prince. your reporter isn't grow up in England for sure but nice accent although.👍to buy the Prince to inheritable title; was not prohibited in the commonwealth countries but in some other European ones where the kings and queens had been short on cash for their "needs".

Ilona McNicholl Actually Kate too, is a HRH, as are Sophie, Prince Philip etc. Meghan will be a HRH too. When William is King, Kate will be a Queen (Consort) she will be referred to as Her Majesty.

She is actually a princess of the United Kingdom by marriage. So, not a princess by birth but she can be addressed as Princess William, not Princess Catherine. But legally she is a princess! Everywhere her occupation is listed as Princess of the United Kingdom. Just like MM will be Princess Henry, if Harry doesn't tet a dukedom and her passport will say Princess of the United Kingdom - NOT Duchess of the United Kingdom.

The other incorrect reporting is about the lineage of the throne. Prince Henry is after the Prince George before princess Charlotte. since the throne prioritise the Prince over the queen status. as Prince Henry was born from the crown Prince before Prince George were born from the second in line for the throne and Prince William had a girl as a second child. if the second child would have been a boy than Prince Henry would be in the sixth place in lineage to the throne. because the special law made by Henry the VIIl to be able crowning Elizabeth the first until his son became an adult because he was about 1year old when he died. But he didn't wanted the internal war for the throne outside from the royal family and established the Queen status as equal to kingship in the duties as Elizabeth achieved every requirements to the throne( like fencing, sword fight, armored horseback riding, calculus, map and navi navigation, military strategy planning, etc.) these are not the requirements for the queen anymore but the keep the lineage in the current royal family.
