Rupert Murdoch has a lot to answer for doesn’t he? Such a shame to ruin Margaret’s fragile happiness after all she had endured.

You can not own a property on Mustique w/o making it available for rental, at least that's the way it used to be. I ran into Mick, Jerry Hall with some of the kids, David Bowie at the medical clinic and Robert Plant on a walk-about on the island. Basil's Bar was the place to be and everyone was there! Those were some great times I must say. No one made a fuss about them at all, they/we knew better as it was a sanctuary.

A very beautiful looking Princecess . It appears she mixed with the wrong people, (except for Lady Glenconner ), searching for some excitement and peace at the same time. It is a very sad thing, that she wasnt able to marry Peter Townsend. How sad she got caught up with that Tony Armstrong Jones.

@@angeladallimore8079 I Google searches it. Lady in waiting: My Extraordinary Life in the Shadow of the Crown by Anne Glenconnor. Nothing personal Angela, I don't know you but I'm surprised at the amount of people that ask for information or a link that they could so easily search. We don't even need a librarian or the yellow pages anymore!

How SAD is it that Princess Margaret gifted her wonderful BELOVED Mustique home to her son and 2 years after he sells it ... she dies . I believe it broke her heart that he couldn't love and treasure property that gave her so much happiness and freedom ... I can imagine how it made her feel as if he was rejecting her love by cutting off this place that was her real home , no doubt .

@gardensofthegods she shouldn't have given it to him in the first place rather than regretting it afterwards.

She was definitely an interesting woman. I am not feeling sorry for someone who lived an extremely privileged life, paid for by others.
