If you wrap the bowl/strainer in a sheet of saranwrap, the paper mache will come off much easier ^^ hope this helps anyone before they get stuck (literally) lol

Okay, if you guys are stuck (like me) because your mask is too glued at the strainer.. Just use a bit of water under the mask and your gonna be able to remove it imediatly and easily. You should do this if it is really stuck and if you don't want to damage your base.

really enjoyed this! i did try the air dry clay...with severe cracks...and i had a hard time finding the strainer you are using...what size is it? i ended up using a bowl/collander and wax paper....i spent all day filling cracks with glue and more clay... definitely a good learning experience! :)
@meijelanson44828 жыл бұрын
I used a bowl as a base for the first part of the mask. The first time, it was impossible take off the mask. I tried again, but this time I wrapped the bowl in cling film: it was actually easier to take off the mask then!
@zedrineprimoris91689 жыл бұрын
If you do not have a strainer, a 9" balloon should work well. The main drawbacks are that you will need to eyeball the size of it, and may need to cut the mask down to a proper size for your face. Removing the mask from the balloon is pretty easy though. Just cut the thick part of the balloon to let the air out more or less gently and it will peel right off from your dried mask. Thank you so much for the tutorials Roxy!

I've tried using air dry clay 3 times now and every time I leave it out to dry, it cracks over my paper mask while drying. Any tips? :(
@RoxyRocksTV9 жыл бұрын
Clay shrinks when it's drying so it's normal if it cracks a little just add water and clay to the crack to fill it in and then make the surface smooth when it's dry with sand paper ;)or try using another paper clay ;) I heard the one with the black package cracks less ;)
