Honestly you can say that for any 3D platformer game that came out after THAT GAME, especially any with cinematic like moments. and even some Pixel art style games too in that case that dont have the typical RPG or Rogue-like or Life sim focus genres propping them up a million times moar. Never the less, always nice to get a nice chill game that even if its `easy`, still acts as a nice example for polished gameplay design without needing to make the gameplay a Hollow Knight level of complex input pressing for crazy control shenigans to make it `S`kay.` levels of nice. Also just a sadrge reminder to me i got so much back log to clean up so i cant pursue simple`ish games like those like Cult of the Lamb because its always a mistake to have some backlog and get something like a NOT TBS Yakuza game and then its likely already been many weeks and your still playing that Yakuza game and your backlog has been rotting in a corner.~

@@yeatweichin9825 Wasn't that the Mario & Luigi Super Star Saga-like that takes place inside Bowser's belly, and between each section, you play as Bowser and him getting screwed over again and again? All I remember was a "water dungeon" section with him drinking way too much water and, due to his fatness, he breaks through the ground and is stuck, and Mario and Luigi inside his stomach have to traverse the place by rising and lowering the water. A game with just Bowser would be nice even though he's slow af for a platformer

i'd like to think of it as Princess Peach can basically just go wherever she wants, meanwhile Mario and friends would have to report to her. However, this complicates the whole "Bowser kidnapping" her thing as her disappearance wouldn't be considered "unusual" until a toad tells Mario she's been kidnapped.

Super Princess Peach was a game I loved when I was younger, it's basically normal Mario but because they (Luigi too) got kidnapped Peach saves them with e m o t i o n s. Never finished it, got stuck on world 7 I think, I wish I still had it and my DS 😩. It was fun.

Honestly, even for how simple it is, I have absolutely zero regrets buying this game. I picked it up while in the middle of tech week for a musical, and a chill and adorable game that didn’t try to wreck my shit at every opportunity was exactly what I needed to unwind in the exactly 1 hour of free time I had between work, tech, and passing out at midnight from absolute exhaustion.
