This song fits all the main characters when you think about it. Mytho/Siegfried: sacrificed his heart to seal away the Monster Raven. Ahiru: Watch the bloody video. Rue: Sacrifices her life to save the Prince from the Raven's curse. Fakir: Sacrifices his own happiness to end the damn story (we all know he loves Ahiru and if she's a duck that makes a relationship kind of hard). I can list more instances...but I think I've made my point. Sacrifice is a theme for this anime.
