If he didn't already have it, he just earned the respect of every student in that gym. And as we know, REAL respect is one of the best things you can have when you're in a position of power.
@claytonwhitman1608
@claytonwhitman1608 3 жыл бұрын
True, respect is earned. It is also given first, as a general rule. Too many people demand respect, and by that demand they don't even see that they are already disrespecting themselves, and the other person, and make it a negative relationship from the start. Give basic human respect to anyone and everyone you meet. That old school golden rule applies more than ever. Those who choose to disrespect you, even after you gave an unknown person respect first, that shows you that person's Character. Life is about CHARACTER and RESPECT. Nothing else can be built without these two. Love doesn't exist, without a basis of Trust, and trust is impossible without respect. I wish more people would choose to respect themselves, and those around them, and give their attitudes a rest. Real respect is just that: real. And it is in my opinion the only real place to start from, and to be. Just my thoughts on that.

@magnumopus8124
@magnumopus8124 3 жыл бұрын
@@ronaldtartaglia4459 you're certainly are opinionated, but while i agree with most you said, you SHOULD understand that it takes more than just a position of power and accolades to gain respect from others. they're children and showing them you can relate to them in some way goes a long way to youths. also, lets get one thing straight, i'm a 36 yr. old man, so don't go thrusting your ways of thinking of ppl upon me. you can respect other cause they're human beings, sure....but true respect is earned and not given just cause your position is higher than others.

ditto! good move! because there are plenty of opportunities to do the 'adulting' thing, as it goes with being of a legal age, it's a requirement..so why in the world do it 24/7? we should still have as much amusement, joy and fun as possible..whether actively 💃🏾or passively.📚 so I definitely agree!👍 and I think it was Alice Walker who said, when they're willing, "people are meant to be enjoyed."🤗

It’s okay to be strict when necessary but HOSTILE is a no noXva lot of principals are hostile towards those kids and they don’t like it!! I loved my principal and teachers in middle and high school . My high school principal was Mr. Edward Ballas❤️❤️❤️

SBB1809 and maybe this is why we have many children the way we do now, because of your way of thinking. When children are shown that adults have an interest in some things that interest them they interact more. Where as always brow beating or simply disengaging with the child because of things they do like make them turn away. Yayyyy go you! This isn't the old days anymore! And don't try lecturing me with your way of "thinking" because I'm far from a child.

I actually watched it about 4 times.:-) I kept thinking to myself I would have liked to have had a principal like that when I was in school many many years ago. I'm sure that you connect with your students well. So how's Ireland? I am protecting myself covid-19 however I do not live in fear about the whole thing. I'm ready it's my time to go. It is a bad virus, but coronaviruses have been around a long time. I think with common sense, good hygiene, & faith in God, I have survived so far. I'm definetly not going to become a hermit. Well take care & keep on touching the youth of our world.
