Principal resigns after high school newspaper investigation

A high school principal in Kansas resigned this week after a tenacious group of student journalists investigated her job qualifications and found that they didn’t appear to add up.

I think it was a forced resignation, either it was resign or get fired.

Keaton0801 in my county over the past 50 years or so there have been 8 principal "resignations" that follow some sort of scandal or issue, the board doesn't want to make it look like they were fired. They are even trying to do it right now to a principal even though the entire community loves him

So what was wrong? Like good for you but she didn't have her credentials? If she was nice I would've kept her regardless of "qualifications". You don't have to go to college or university to be a good principal.

If she went to a "credential mill", she probably doesn't have much in the way of skills. An administrator doesn't have to go to a top tier school to be qualified, but she does need to be properly trained and to be honest about her education. And, yes, you do need to go to a college or university to be a good principal. You need to know what is going on in the field of education and how to apply it. There's more to it than hanging around with the students and being "nice" and encouraging.
