Deformation can be so fun to catch while watching! Do you like to spot animation techniques while you watch anime? Which ones are your favorite?

Is pain vs naruto squash or stretch or both? Plus very informative thank you

Otaku Drummer It's both

Squash and stretch are a single principle. BTW people say theres 12 because of a popular book. there are probably closer to 50.

I was happy to see the return of epic action deformation in My Hero during the Summer Festival with Todoroki. It reminded me of that classic episode of Naruto when the kyuubi starts to exert control over Naruto during his fight with Sasuke at the falls. The fluid motion and deformation of the characters in both scenes must've been incredibly expensive (which precluded its use in most scenes) but lent such a weight to the characters' actions that I don't think I'll ever forget either one. I think sometimes you won't notice bad animation, sometimes you won't even notice good animation, but you'll know it when you're seeing the greatest.

"Flip Flappers". It has beautiful animated scenes, but sadly it's a bad anime in general.
