I've always respected anime just for the amount of talent and time that goes into the animation. I make pretty simple animations and even those can take hours or even days, so I can't even imagine making a whole series or movie with that level of detail

@harman4321

@@ashvish8856 it's not their fault, production committee of an anime decide how much time they will give to animators to work,and in the case of Aot they gave them absolute worse schedule,I'm not making this up making 16 episodes in 10 months of time spam is impossible to make but they still made it. Why did they still make this show? Because they are passionate about it. It takes me atleast 8 hours to draw something,and they have to make 100s of these drawings everyday 💀 That's why I respect animators working in Japanese animation industry. Also the latest episode looks absolutely phenomenal,why did it look good? Because they were allotted enough time

@@Userdoesnotexit Well... Yes, if you're someone who's already have experience (either with digital drawing or animation)... But no, if you like me who's basically just started at digital drawing (still can't draw clean lineart), and basically making my 2nd ever animation after only like < 5 minutes of experience from a few years ago which is just some random doodling... (probably hours of making tears is a bit of an exaggeration tho, in reality Idk how long it takes me, lol... But in my experience making flames is much easier, it only takes a few minutes)

@YuriLifeLove
@YuriLifeLove 2 жыл бұрын
@@panadol2851 Photoshop lol, I'm too lazy to install and learn a new software... It's just some sort 2D animation that I use for some effect on 3D animation, so I just use the software that I already have... From what I know Photoshop do have timeline for animation, but since I only have to animate a few frames (and also lazy to learn how to use that feature), so I just draw it layer by layer and can't really preview the animation until I exported it... Not the most efficient way to make animation, but it gets the work done, so...

i did short few frames animation which lasts only for few seconds and even then it was tiring. drawing every frame making sure it looks ok when it comes to movement. then cleaning up rough sketches adding details. doing lineart and then cloring shadows and lighting while making sure there is no uncolored gaps left. the MOST tiring thing about this was DOING ALL OF THESE FOR EVERY FRAME all this was for few seconds animation. and now imagine 24 minute for however many episodes

Thank you! A concise video explaining each step is exactly what I've been looking for. I'm currently trying to make an animation workflow with AI. Before that, I need to understand exactly how each step works for traditional animation. It's astounding to see how the most time-consuming steps can be made in one minute now.

I tend to prefer Japanese animation over Western animation, but I think it’s unfair to dismiss Western animation as lazy flash or calarts shows. There are good productions in the West, and also most anime has become an international venture not only with outsourcing to cheaper countries but also hiring great animators from Korea, China, Europe, the Americas and other areas. Studio Saru’s Scott Pilgrim was directed by Abel Gongora, a fellow Spaniard and a long term veteran in Saru. Also, I might be wrong here, but from what I heard it’s not the norm to start animating before the storyboard is completed. This is something that Miyazaki does but I think he’s kind of an outlier and has caused some production issues.

Japanese's preference for the art work and the process. And anime looks wack when translated into 3D, but they do use 3D as long as the characters are not in the focus (ex. camera pans or '2D characters in a 3D environment'). When it comes to cgi, i think they mainly use it in effects

ENG: Anime is a type of Japanese mul'tiplicashiya. And anime has exactly the same genres as any other films and cartoons, i.e. comedy, drama, romance, fantasy, etc. But anime itself is not a genre Japanese mul'tiplicashiya = Japanese cartoons Anime is a cartoon, or more precisely, a type of cartoon Cartoon is an abbreviation of the word = mul'tiplicashiya The term mul'tiplicashiya is only in Russian Animation and mul'tiplicashiya are absolute synonyms in Russian. If in Western culture one can somehow argue that cartoon and anime are really words with different histories and, possibly, different meanings, then in Russian the term “mul'tiplicashiya” means shooting motionless objects - drawings, dolls or something else.
