Print Examples From The HP DesignJet Z6

I know before buying this printer I found very little about it online so I want to share a few print examples from the HP DesignJet Z6 for you guys to check out along with the software that I use.
I'll be uploading more videos of posters and canvases that are printed from this awesome printer so make sure to subscribe if you are still undecided about whether to purchase one or not.

Hi One small question. my Hp z6 Cuts paper even if the cutter is off. I use border and borderless printing on HP glossy paper. I use HP click as well. In Hp click there are no options to disable the cutter. If I directly give prints from other app the cutter will not work because it is switched off.

This is exactly the video I’m looking for. I’m thinking of buying a cannon ta-20. Will it perform well for canvas paper?

I'm not sure but I don't think that model is built for handling canvas. You may want to phone a dealer and find out.

Are you able to print on adhesive vinyl? I'm considering getting the 44" version of the z6, but I need it to print on vinyl

Hello, sorry, I'm just seen this now. But, yes, if you have the space, the 44-inch model would be much better. I have put vinyl through the Z6 but find it hard to find. I recently got the Epson 60600 and its superb for printing on vinyl and just gives me so much more options. So far I have done pvc banners, pullup banners, canvas, posters, and vinyl stickers.

@designgaff2025 I currently don't have room for anything big like the Epson u mentioned, but just to clarify, you said u find the vinyl size hard to find?... but IT DOES WORK on the z6?

@@zaygfazinetto You'd have to find one suited for the pigment inks. I have run gloss and matte vinyl through it. It would need to be laminated if it was for long-term use though.

@designgaff2025 OK, fair enough! Laminating is usually very important anyway. I have in mind 3M IJ-35. (Gloss or Matte) I assume 3M vinyls should be all-in-all a good choice, right?

Have you used the printer for purely photo printing - on the fence just now and looking for something that will give high quality black and white and colour prints. Great video about other stuff printer is capable of thanks for uploading.

I do, and it is very capable. Built in Colorimeter, PS wPDF engine for color mgmt, heads have variable ink size which new offering more tones than the 6 inks. B&W tonality w HP's is excellent.

Hey bud, how much is the printer going for? I cant find anywhere in Ireland selling it. I'm still using my 20 year old designjet 500, true workhorse.

There are tons of media choices from Poly fabric, decal, banner, film, photo, watercolor, canvas. For a range of fabrics, look up Jacquard Fabrics, they have a range of fabrics available

Can it print on iron on transfer paper or heat transfer vinyl..

Is this waterproof?

Yes, these would be waterproof, but not UV proof if used outdoors so you would need to laminate if they are for long term

Is there a small bit of paper stuck inside somewhere? I have never got a paper jam issue on this. I would assume its because I only ever use roll paper and not single sheets

how easy to load in sheets of paper.. 24" x 36" instead of using rolls

I haven't used sheets of paper yet but there is markings in the loading area that tell you were to place paper if you are loading sheets. I just 24 inch rolls which are easy to load. I feed the roll through the back and the printer grabs it, pulls it through and corrects any skew. I get my paper and canvas from www.getcanvassupplies.co.uk

Hello. I have no complaints about HP thus far. Any problems and they have been very helpful so far. Hope this doesn't change when my guarantee runs out.
