The age of online content and the proliferation of digital devices has posed challenges and led to the ongoing demise of print media. In that regard, the print media in the Tibetan exile community is no different. However, it would be inaccurate to say that print media is dead altogether in the Tibetan media landscape as outlets have tried to innovate and reinvented themselves against the threat of the digital age.
Publications like Tibet Express and Tibet Times are still holding on to certain values and ideologies that come with being a “newspaper” as they believe print media continues to have dedicated readership and a niche audience that appreciates physical publications.
