Corrine, I want to make a front door sign on a 15 inch pizza pan-I plan to use permanent vinyl for Home Sweet Home-my thought is to change out the two “O’s” in home with a magnetic sticker-I am thinking I could do pumpkins for fall, wreath for Christmas, something for Easter, Valentine’s, St Patrick’s Day etc throughout the year-maybe make a few other stickers for the different occasions - do you think that would work - I saw the pizza pan at Dollar General - maybe paint it white - what do you think? any thoughts?

I just got my Cricut and am so excited that I can make magnets! Can’t wait to try this! What is the benefit of using printable vinyl in this case, where neither side of the vinyl is exposed? I’m assuming white card stock or maybe even plain white printer paper would be fine since the magnetic sheet is sticky but would love to know why you chose the vinyl! Thanks for the video!
@CorinneBlackstone Жыл бұрын
Printable vinyl is a far better product for something like this especially in a kitchen because the product can be wiped off or cleaned. It will also hold up far better to being handled. Paper is just that paper and is not meant to be wet or handled a lot without showing wear and tear.

Question, when I print, the offset has a faint gray line around it. Is that normal?
@CorinneBlackstone2 жыл бұрын
Did you create the offset or was it already part of the image
@Tabascopeppers2 жыл бұрын
@@CorinneBlackstone I've tried both ways. I tried creating an offset in Design Space. Then I tried creating an offset in Silhouette Studio Business Edition then uploading to Design Space. Both ways I kept printing with bleed on like everyone says to do. I got tired of the gray line. Last night I printed again with bleed off and the gray line is lighter but still there. I don't want the gray line at all. Others online are getting the gray line too from when I searched how to get rid of the gray line.
@CorinneBlackstone2 жыл бұрын
But does the design already have an offset around it? If so that offset my have a black or gray outline which would cause that to print. Otherwise if you are creating the offset and turning it white and then flattening it there should be no gray around the design
@Tabascopeppers2 жыл бұрын
@@CorinneBlackstone the designs don't have an offset initially until I add it. I'm following your steps exactly and flattening the graphic and its offset. By turning bleed off, the line is very faint. But if the blade doesn't cut ON that line, the line shows after cutting. I followed your video about calibrating. I've thought about using a pencil eraser to erase the faint gray line. But if I have several sheets it's a hassle. One lady online called Cricut Support and they weren't able to help on how to get rid of the faint line.
@CorinneBlackstone2 жыл бұрын
@@Tabascopeppers I have never had a line from an offset so I am not even sure how to tell you to fix it if you are following everything and I do and using pure white as the offset background there should be no line. It sounds like it is in fact an issue with the cricut software. I would try at least clearing your cache and seeing if that helps.
