Decent intro but lacking what I feel is important info for a beginner. 1.Taking 30 seconds to say the file included the cutlines would be important information for beginners. 2. The default cut settings are far from perfect. Each machine seems to have its own quirky personality but more importantly 1 setting is not a fit all. The sticker paper you use will GREATLY affect the cutting. Is it matte? Glossy? Is it thick or on the thinner side? Not being given this information could cause a newbie to think they are doing something wrong and be very frustrated. There is a learning curve. Ask me how I know 🤦‍♀️

Do you have a recommendation for sticker paper? I'm looking for a matte white sticker paper with a smooth backing that doesn't stick to the mat. I'm still experimenting in general, but I have to use the back of the mat with double sided tape. If I use the normal side, it won't release the sticker paper without tearing the backing.

Hi! I noticed that you had 2 upper corner stickers in the hashed area. Did those print and cut properly? I’ve always thought that images for print and cut should not be placed not just outside the border lines but also in the hashed area. Is this not the case anymore?

This a great video if the machine I just bought would even register. 🙄 I’ve wasted so much paper, ink, and several full days researching and can’t get it to work. Silhouette has yet responded to my cry for help email I sent last week. 😢

I tried everything you said, and it only cut a line at the bottom of the page. Am I missing something? Why didn't it cut the actual stickers? How does the silhouette recognizes the actual stickers shape?

Can you laminate after printing and then cut them out in the portrait or cameo?

I have the portrait 1 and yes, you can. I use a holographic, self adhesive foil after printing. You need to adjust the blade, depth an pressure. It took me a moment to figure out the correct adjustments, but then it worked very well.

How do you add cutlines to the document if it doesnt already have them?

I'm a little late in commenting, but THANK YOU for a very direct, blunt approach to this print-and-cut concept I knew nothing about.
