In the summer of 2016, PrintbyPrint Group had the opportunity to sit down with fabric artist and quilter, Bisa Butler. Her spiritual autobiographical work connects her past with her present and leaves you yearning for all that the future has in store for her. Bisa has an uncanny ability to paint with fabric - giving life to inanimate materials that has a spellbinding lure, when in the presence one of her pieces.

You are so eloquent about explaining where your art comes from...and to see your thinking and workspace is so intriguing. Thank you for this glimpse. Also curious how you are open about being a woman artist and wife mother. loved seeing you at the sewing machine and talking about your family, and describing your thoughts on your grandmother and the scraps of fabric from your artist friend.
