Problem is, it seems to change a lot... all aluminum. test machine most of the time. Revision #XX.X. :(

@@MrRocksalt You don't have to of course, a simple snapshot of your work would be fine. I really like your toolhead for example, even though I don't have a milk (for now) i can get laser cut metal cheaply.

the rear motor cant be designed to be on that plate... because the way it has adjustablity. It rotates to get closer to the 50T pom gear.. so it has a slot at the top bolt of the motor... so it rotates and when it does it goes down a tiny bit. So I made it in a way that it could fit both a 8th and 10th so thats why it was hard to have a pivot point that would have the motor touch on both version. Also LDO and Moon dont have exactly the same diameter.. so.. one might touch and not the other one.

I agree on that point. However, incorporating an additional moment further back will solve this. I hope in the next version the base is made wider to eliminate the mounting plate and 2 bolts, and have it bolted from the top. I don't think you will gain any weight this way, might even lose some. Still working well so far, I just need to get it tuned a little better. Good work, as usual.

What I didn't think about is machining. Probably more efficient to machine with less width to cut cost. Always something isn't it!

Why do you have those dampened couplers with those red silicone elements on the motors? Won't they make the motion system less rigid? Or are they needed because too rigid is also not good?

That's a story in and of itself. I bought the rigid ones and 2 of the 4 were drilled off center. So they vibrate as a result. I think I was lucky to get two drilled on center. With a complete rigid coupler you are at the mercy of alignment of the shafts! They better be on center or they will rotate free, then slightly bind, then then then. With the bushing in the middle you can have some loss of concentricity and they will work. I will order more rigid ones, maybe order another 4 and hope to get two that are drilled on center. Or.. maybe I can find a better brand or use some different types, like bellows or or or..

@@MrRocksalt Interesting, thanks for the explanation. I think Annex sells LDO motors with longer shafts, maybe those could work? When everything is just one piece nothing can wobble or vibrate.

@@petermeier3153 I prefer to have the motors separate from the load of the belts. Coupled this way allows for that purpose. Using more than 2 bearings on a shaft can be problematic and there are 2 already in the motor. It's just my 'pet peeve' to arrange this way.
