@@learnandapply Certainly! A quick question, and sorry if you already mentioned this, but what would be the next step after identifying your priorities in this way? To use this video's example, what model or planning tool would the team use next after recognizing that the need to "reduce attrition rate" is the top priority? Would it mimic something like a regular old to-do list with assignees? Or something more complex? Thanks!

This is a tool used for the prioritization of projects, activities, or problems in a logical manner. Once we identify which are the top contributors, we need to start working on it. Like you can start by defining the project and creating a Project Charter for the problem.

Great explanation!! 1. Keeping the same structure, 2. We say select values in each cell 1 to 10 for scoring , 3. On top columns we define the criteria and give a weighted score, 4. Then multiply the cell ranking with top weighted score for each criteria? A small change in your approach, is that fine? Please comment. Thank you!

Thank you for the detailed question. If you are using a 1-10 scale, differentiation of low impact and high impact factors will be difficult. 0,1,3,9 has an important role in differentiation.
@GPaisley Жыл бұрын
@@learnandapply I have found that the 1,3,9 essentially is a high, medium, low rating which people can usually agree to quicker than the difference between, say a 4 and a 5. The 9 for high really helps to break those out very clearly. You'll be glad you use 1,3,9 vs 1-10 or 14.

Thanks for this! Great explanation. I am following your structure but have a question about the association score. Can I use a different association score, say 0-4 instead of 0, 1, 3, 9? A small change from what you did, is that fine? Must it be 0, 1, 3, 9? If yes, why? Hope to hear from you. Thanks!
@learnandapply Жыл бұрын
Thank you for your valuable comments! The logic behind using 0,1,3,9 is to increase the difference in values for most important and least important factors to make your decision making easier. This is because, we are using these number for multiplication to calculate weighted score. If you are using other numbers than 0,1,3,9 still, you will get the results, but decision making will be complicated. I hope this will help you. Please reply if you need any further help.

Would the “importance rating” at the top change, or remain the same if the strategic criteria is always the same?
@learnandapply3 жыл бұрын
It depends on the priorities for organization. Mostly they are constant but can be changed based on priorities.

If your question is related to selection of "Pump Failure" to explain association score, then it is an example to explain how to score.
