The art on Evolving Skies is much better. Every Alt art have a dedicated backround and Prismatic has only like a color paint on the back of the pokemon.

Overall I do agree with this statement. PE cards are beautiful but ya their mostly kaleidoscope style of art where alt arts are closer to what see typically see with SIR The umbreon. Leafon, espeon, ans for me sylveon is a close 3rd or 4th can hold again es

Moonbreon will not be over taken as #1, I think ES will be remembered as the greatest set with the greatest card of the modern era. PE is great, but its not ES.

Evolving Skies - 12 Chases, Good artwork, low pull rates. Prismatic Evolutions - 12 Chases + 19 more SIRs + Gold Pikachu + ~60 Master balls including eeveelutions, special set - no booster boxes (booster bundle displays instead - 60 packs), low pull rates, full and demigod packs. I think it definitely will surpass Evolving Skies in 3-4 years, in numbers this set is just way better. PC ETBs and sealed Booster Bundle displays is the way.

The discussion of PE vs ES got me thinking and I did a bit of math (I could be wrong, I’m not a math whiz). Comparing most desired products, an ES sealed booster case vs PE PC ETB case, an ES case is up 1200% from launch if bought for MSRP, and a prismatic PC ETB case is up 420% (going off collectr price). So PE is already a third of the way there to matching ES. Very excited to see how everything unfolds a few years down the line.

Have to look at annualized return. Using MSRP as a benchmark for Evo Skies isn’t ideal either just because it was fairly easy to get cases for $100-$110. But I agree it’s off to a good start

Yup, I completely agree with you. Yes, it will OUTPERFORM ES! The reason why is because it has all the elements of ES but with added "jackpot" feature...aka god packs. This will mean the incentive to rip these packs will be absolutely massive and overtime it will be the holy grail of sets to rip on live streams. Going forward I am saving all of my money and only buying PE. I will not buy any other modern sets after this unless it really tops it. Also the pull rates are horrible which means the chase cards will be big money. Big money chase cards + god packs is what is going to encourage people to rip this set like crazy.

It's interesting, both my orders of 4 and 1 of the PC ETBs came in yesterday and unfortunately the four didn't come as a case - just loose in a normal box. Pretty disappointed about that but apparently that is not uncommon from what I can see online. Cases will be EVEN rare than we think. Still pumped I have 5 though, can't complain

I agree on liking the Espeon artwork better than most of the other eeveelutions. I do like the leafeon but to me it goes: 1. Umbreon 2. Espeon 3. Leafeon And then all the rest of the eeveelutions. Bloodmoon, roaring moon and raging bolt look great too. Those are the ones I will be hunting

The alt arts from SWSH are better overall. Prismatic is a good set. The lack of IRs is what is going to keep it down. The poke/masterballs have a great texture and I hope they keep coming back in English, but they aren't beautiful IR artworks. All the chases in ES are desirable whereas half of the SIRs aren't desirable in Prismatic. I think the crazy supply demand curve is going to leave a bad taste in peoples' mouths long term with prismatic. ES was printed like crazy for years and was attainable at a good price for a long time.

Prismatic evolution is dog water. You cannot compare PE to Evolving skies not even by a long shot. Don’t even think about “oh it’s evo skies 2.0”. I’m going to say this plainly and simply. Evolving Skies will be remembered as the greatest sword and shield set of all modern times in Pokemon. It is the Crown Jewels in multi language international set in the world. Printed in all different languages for evolving skies.

Prismatic is good but it aint great. The sword shield Eevees are way cooler than these glass cartoons and have inbetween hits. This is just EX, lame pokeballs or a full art.

Pe is a revolutionary set. It’s hard to not see it passing evolving skies 5-10 years from now. If it wasn’t the set to introduce god packs with a full eeveelution lineup I wouldnt be able to say the same. Could be the only set of its kind
