All of you whining about an LGS keeping their business alive and sustainable so you can sit your ass down and play for free in their space need to grow tf up and learn how adulthood works. Most LGS owners care more about your happiness than anyone outside their store's doors. The world can be harsh, most LGSs are gifts for you. Please acknowledge this and better yourself.

Yes! People don’t complain when an LGS sells products bellow MSRP all year, you give and you take.

Perhaps hunting for cards every week is just the friends we made along the way
@TheOddOddish2 сағат бұрын
You might be right Pokefresh! I found my best friend of 7 years already hunting for cards at Walmart! We both dont hunt like that anymore, but we are always reminiscing of those days and how we met! We talk multiple times daily everyday!❤

I went to 4 stores this morning and was able to get 1 binder collection and one poster collection. I would deem that a success! The majority of people weren't able to find anything! A few people in front lucked out though! You could tell the moms there for their kids and stuff but all of them struck out! Morr than 75% of the people in lines were just scalpers! I brought a few slabs as conversation starters and no one even knew what my PSA 10 Evo Holo Zard or Pre-Release zard. They did know the Moonbreon from evo skies. That was about it! Lol. (It was a blast from the past though! I haven't hunted cards at retail for like 5 years or so. It was an adrenaline rush!)

Just reading the comment section. It’s the exact same comments as 2021. “How dare you need to turn a profit to pay the cost of running your business!” Most of the people in here, in this “community”, constantly crying are the same that are going to not be here in the “community” when the hype dies down

Reading these comments is hilarious. If you don’t like the prices stores are charging, then vote with your dollars and don’t buy the product 🤷🏻♂️ But for the love of god, would you stop complaining about it? You’re not entitled to Pokémon cards 🙄

Best wishes, but I'm telling you if I was a regular at your store and you're were selling this etb for over $100 (100 is my limit) wouldn't want to shop at your place in the future. I have 3 main LGS stores in my area and one is for sure is selling over 100-150+ per etb. They are heavy on the online selling so whatever, but they will now always be the last place I shop. Give and take right.. The other two didn't sell online for this set are rationing today I'm expect will be reasonable but slightly over msrp. 55-60. (It was 100..dang) we'll see. They will still make all that money but somehow we'll be happy to pay that much (paying over $40 for an etb for me feels so wrong lol)

Not just that but all these Content Investors Creators are now complaining prices are too high. Yet they are a big problem as well since they sit on so much product that stores can't even get it anymore. Isn't that so rich coming from people like pokerev etc etc that actually have the $ to burn and sit on. Edit: pokerev has a 25k Yu-Gi-Oh box on sale yet he's complaining about the problem he and certain KZbinrs created. Go figure.

I really appreciate your insight here, Mason. I really do. I started my TCG business mid-2023. It was hard enough then to get ahold of product at a reasonable cost, now, it's 1000x more difficult. Even with an abundance of supply, you weren't making much of a margin and the amount of work and effort that went into sourcing, sorting, shipping is really not necessarily worth the effort spent. The problem with using this hobby as a business is there are SO MANY things outside of our immediate control that have very little to do with how much you work. That type of business is not sustainable in the long run. I feel your pain here, I truly do. I always like to take a glass half full approach, but in a world like this, no one wins. You can't get enough product to make a reasonable profit without either a. upsetting your buyers with the high cost or b. selling a case of Prismatic at MSRP and then not having the profit to put towards the next purchase. I'm sure you'd much rather have 50 cases of Shrouded Fable that trickles out over the course of 6 months than one case of Prismatic that you have to sell at $150. No one wins in this environment. Thanks for the content!
@TheNachris72053 минут бұрын
I can pause the video 2 minutes in, and already know mason has the full market value price on his prismatic evolutions product. I understand you didn't get much product, but other lgs's didn't either. Other lgs's are handling it completely different than trying to squeeze each penny out of the product.

my issue is when a product goes under msrp on pre orders and stores will not go to the lower adjusted price when it hits market but somehow the same store gets to readjust upward on the price of product if it goes over msrp on preorders so either way the customer gets fooked ive heard it all "im in it for way too much" thats "the free market" somehow ALWAYS benefits the sellers not customers reputation is everything if you have integrity and are fair and reasonable ill buy if youre not f off thats the only power customers have im sorry but the hobby space is going to get regulated way sooner then later cuz too many people are getting burnt by greed monsters nothing is wrong with you maxxin money but NOT at the expense of your customer base

Don't know if we want you in the hobby. Less business people in the hobby is better. This is a trading card game. Do any of you guys even play the intended card game? Unfortunately over 90% you don't. Most of us in Japan actually play the game. I have always played since 1996. Players that play the tcg can't even get the cards they need to build their decks. Shame on you all. Maximize profits is all that most of you people cares about. By the way, not here to troll you and wish I never stumbled upon this video, but the youtube algorithm fed your crap channel to me.

A brick and mortar LGS is the primary way to add additional value to the product by facilitating a social venue to enjoy the hobby. They are far more important to supply than online-only retailers, let’s be real.
