Qiblah = Direction of prayer Adhaan = call to prayer Amir = leader/prince/commander Salat = prayers Imam = leader of the prayer When we pray in congregation, people can walk in front of the followers of the Imam (meaning those praying behind the Imam in the ranks) but you can't walk in front of the Imam (or a person praying by themselves) unless there is a sutrah (barrier). Whoever walks beyond the sutrah there is no harm to the prayer.

Thanks for your video Bill.. Clarification on certain issues concerning Islam/Muslims 1. The Amir wasn't Singing, he was calling the Azhan (Call for Prayer). It is done 5 times a day. 2. _Salat_ means Prayer (literally) in Arabic. Muslims pray 5 times (at least) a day. First Prayer at dawn is called _Subhi_ . Second after the sun passes over head (after mid day) is called _Zuhr_ . Third is called _Asr_ , done after the sun is about 75% going down. Forth is called _Magrib_ , performed at Sunset. Fifth is called _Isha'i_ , performed at night. 3. Muslims pray facing the _Ka'abah_ in Makkah (or Mecca, as you call it) .. so depending on where you are on earth, you turn your face towards the _Ka'abah_ to pray. I hope this clarifies and or educate a few people. Stay blessed and *OUT OF PRISON* ..

We did have these stories by other people telling what happened to their homies on the streets or in jail. We had people telling us to change because getting arrested, doing drug etc was going to happen or get worse. @@kennycedric8499 Right, but Islaam doesnt allow us to "oppress" others in order to "serve" Allaah. You cant block a normal or regular path that people use or deny them "access" and expect them to wait til you finish praying, They could've easily prayed in smaller groups, the first group pray first, then the second group pray after them, so no one is blocking the entrance and also to make sure no one is walks in front of the "sutra" . Also they could've prayed separately because they are in a specific situation that Allaah gives you a "concession". I think muslims we "flex" unnecessarily especially in these incarcerated situations to prove we not pussy to the other groups and end up becoming bullies and that's a insecurity and weakness and lack of discipline. Now if a muslim died in that fight, then the blood is on the hands of the one who started the fight ! And remember the blood of a muslim is more scared than the Ka'ba! (Oh and Asalaamu Alaikum )

As a Muslim myself, I feel as though the brother made the wrong call to war wit the Bloods. Especially if there was no issue of disrespect prior to this situation. Now true we aren't supposed to let anyone cross in front of us and definitely not through us while in prayer but it was upon the person leading the prayer to inform the dorm that "the brothers are about to offer prayer and would appreciate if no one walks in front of us". Not everybody knows about Islam so they don't know how serious we take prayer so you have to inform people.
