Arrows in the ground wasn't for extra damage. When my unit was playing OPFOR, we played detainees while other MPs tried to be prison guards. I developed a habit of pulling nails out of the walls of the bunkhouses, wrap them in tape, and have tiny little stabbers. Now these things never used and it was only a training environment, they were just there for MPs to try and find. I made so many, I'd leave some to find intentionally and laugh about the ones through MPs didn't find TL:DR OPFOR missions are fun times

I've heard stories about people making shanks out of paper. They would take a single sheet of paper and roll it up until it's as hard and as rigid as wood and use it as a double sided shank. And people making spears out of a single sheet of newspaper. And taking ten or so sheets of paper, rolling them up and connecting them together and ripping off the bottom seam of a shirt and twisting it up and connecting each end to the connected paper making a long bow, then using an individual sheet of paper as an arrow. I've been told it has an effective range of about 30 feet.
@youtubesucks-yx6kk Жыл бұрын
Honestly the paper is the easiest to believe for me. Think about the 4th of July, mortars and Roman candles specifically, it's essentially a cannon made out of paper/cardboard with little to no glue, and since pine sap makes a great adhesive that occurs in nature it probably wouldn't be the hardest thing to get ahold of either. It's pretty crazy that people have to worry about being shanked with the news paper.

When I was working at a prison, there was this old convict that made a 20 gauge single shot shotgun out of some rolled up newspaper, two rubber bands, three hairnets, and like 40 paper clips. Of course he didn't think through the fact that he didn't have ammo, so he went to SHU for a while over that without cause. He showed me one time (he asked me to promise him that it was for educational purposes only) how to make a shank out of a trash bag that was repeatedly heated/cooled with a candle and water. He was a pretty solid little dude, and I had a lot of respect for him, as did the other inmates...obviously, because He had an entrepreneurial spirit, and was resourceful beyond his means.

Long story short he used a syringe without a needle to shoot dope up his rectum, well he didn’t throw it away and it got mixed up somehow a couple weeks later. He rinsed it with water and put a needle on it and shot his dope in his arm. The spot where he shot in his arm a couple days later turned BLACK and he became deathly ill. The infection moved to his chest later he started having heart pain. I know all the details because he came to me to ask for antibiotics which I got for him and told him to get to the hospital. He didn’t listen but the antibiotics I got him saved him. Crazy times from back in the day man.

I have a lot of respect for the Irish people. Irish people understand the plight of the Palestinians, because a lot of Irish people suffered through settler colonialism when the Anglo Saxons occupied Ireland and brought in Protestants to be their colonial agents. The Irish who turned and became uncle toms were given positions of power and acted for British interests, the Irish people who refused to bend over and allow the British to take their homeland and force their religion and their king down people's throats were moved onto barren lands and eventually forced to exile to America to escape the oppression. A lot of Irish people are sympatethic to the Palestinians because they see the same tactic used by British on Ireland being used by Israelis against Palestinians.

In Scotland, particular Glasgow barlinnie prison folk would put a penny between 2 razors and melt onto a toothbrush so when someone was slashed the docs would have to remove 2ml of skin between the gashes to sow up so the scar would be more prominent and the bottom end of the toothbrush would be sharpened into a spike for stabbing (plugging) so you’d have a 2 in 1 weapon razor for warnings and plugs for well you know. Shanks were called chibs and also newspapers were banned cause inmates would fold them up into hammers. Inside a cell that had a leaking roof it would get so cold icicles would form and be turned into pluggers using a towel for grip then when it melts the evidence would disappear and the towel would be used as a lie to save someone’s life so lesser sentences.
