Kate Peterson absolutely carried this run of episodes. The scene where she starts taking over Davo’s job is hilarious and the look on her face at the end is freaky. A fantastic character and a fantastic performance by Olivia Hamnett.

Kate gets better and better with each episode. Olivia's acting is sublime and the facial expressions are so realistic to go with it. Erica once again should have been more proactive and got Kate evaluated earlier. Poor Judy could be dead before anything gets done. Erica stated a few episodes back that Dr Weissman was away on sabbatical, but surely he cannot be the only psychiatrist in the area. Someone else must be covering his work while he is on leave. Lizzie thinking Helen had started a catering business was hilarious!

+Freeborn Leveller Honestly, when Colleen was at her nastiest, to ME anyway she is worse than the Freak or Vera. Vera was enormously entertaining and somehow her sarcasm was charming. The Freak is also entertaining. But when Colleen was bashing Andrea Hennessey or keeping that woman inside for hitting her after being provoked she was just so unpleasant to watch. there was no entertainment factor. and her eye-rolling and general disdain for all the inmates always gets old. The only time I liked her was when she was a background character like Officer Bailey or Barry

It does annoy me in soaps that are suppose to have 3d characters, with the traits of 'ordinary human beings', change the traits to suit whatever storyline they want to portray at that particular time, for me it loses the 'realism' of the soap. I know people change and but change should be organic not manufactured as this seems to be.

I'd hardly call the Freak "entertaining" when she was at her worst. And Po face at her worst, had NOTHING on the Freak at her worst. I could not see Colleen getting around with black leather gloves on, literally bashing many prisoners over the years. Setting up the prisoners, time and time again. Taking on a gang of bikies and burning down their shed with their bikes in it and so on. I could go on with far more many malicious things that the Freak did, but it would spoil it too much for those who have yet to see her in action.

Kate has to be one of the best non-permanent characters they've had so far. She had me on the edge of my seat the last 2 episodes. Helenannoyed me with her accents at first. But her interaction with Susie and concern for Judy showed more of her personality and now she's growing on me. I'm starting to miss Bea andDor at the centre of this now. Lizzie's been the only lead in every episode for the last while and I've even found her to be in the background most of the time lately. She's still a good laugh though. She's my favourite character on both PCBH and Wentworth even though the two Lizs are very different characters. But I feel the same way about Vera too.

''SILENCE'' .... 😂😂😂 My two favourite storylines to date by a mile are Bea's amnesia, and Dr Kate's unravelling of her mad mind. I have always enjoyed Dr Kate's complex and manipulating character and it is such a joy to see it all unravel as the life she once had becomes increasingly lost. Great stuff! And her mad face at the end, ha, that is how I see Doctor's in general these days, utter evil psychopaths. I know the next episode is her last, and as this is my first time around watching from the beginning I will be very interested to see how it plays out. What a great character Olivia Hamnett has given us. Dr Kate the rotten mongrel is in my top 2 favourite characters alongside our fair dinkum Lizzie. 26th April 2023.

Davo is so off the mark about Kate. It’s incredible. Hats off to the late Olivia Hamnett; her portrayal is top-notch. She really did her thing with the role... Chuckie stare + smile, Ableism, and all. Susie is ridic ... she’s not being given a hard time in Wentworth so it’s actually easier to just sit right and get the orig sentence over with than to add a lot more time for all this escaping business. Love Helen but the voices get to be a bit much. Her concern for Susie is terrific; she’s a real good egg. Poor Steve; he looked so hurt in Davo’s Office when Lizzie made the case for Marney returning. Wasn’t good to talk about Peterson to Faulkner where she could hear though.

Syed Faruque Davo doesn’t see much to be honest. She’s adopted the managerial tactic of opposing what everyone else sees or thinks, but in this job, it’s a dangerous move because she is usually cloistered in her office and misses a lot. Clearly she also doesn’t have a lot of trust in her staff, because her main objective is self survival. Pity, because she is really a good governor who has been caught up in the system.
