Olivia Hamnett/Kate Pearson was really a brilliant classically trained English theatre actress who emigrated to Oz in the 70's. She acted on heaps of Aussie shows at the time & passed away in 2001, I think. RIP Olivia, a true class act.

I agree w the critical judgements of Olivia Hamnett's portrayal of Doctor Kate Peterson. As I said in a comment two shows back, I believe, she does a brilliant job of acting, making her whole period in PRISONER one of the most suspenseful in the suspenseful series. It approaches greatness, yet isn't even mentioned in Wiki's article on her, which does mention other successes. I too feel sad that she died at only 73, in the saddle, as we say, of, alas, a brain tumour (like other PRISONER stars). Hers is a class act, indeed.

Olivia Hamnett on IMDB showing all she's been in has her born in 1943-2001 then in (58yrs) saying she passed on in Nov 2001. So not 73 but died much younger than that. She was around 40ish in this show.

Suzie's walk 17:15 Google Earth reveals that 33 years on, the handicraft place is a $2 bargain shop, not sure what the next store is, but now it's some kind of home decor store and they look like they've expanded into the garages next door. The firm of Solicitors Suzie walks past at 17:30 Psaltis, Dellios & West, is still there (minus Psaltis), and the building, awning and sign is remarkably unchanged. But next door isn't a bank anymore, it looks like a Vietnamese Restaurant and the front has been radically remodeled. After she crosses the street (the crossing is still there), Amcal pharmacy is still there today, looking a bit different. It's Station Street, Fairfield, Victoria. I love Google Earth. Fascinating.

Wow! Suzie must have walked a bloody long way then hehe Considering, you say, those shops she walks past were in Station St, Fairfield. Which is in the northern suburbs of Melbourne. And then at 20:03 she's at Burwood Hwy in Ferntree Gully. Which is in the south eastern suburbs 😜 I know Station St, Fairfield. I lived nearby with my family when I was a little kid. I sometimes cruise down that way you check out the old neighbourhood. And it's changed a bit along that shopping strip. The road layout etc.

This storyline with Judy in court facing her accuser is hilarious. Neither the judge nor the prosecutor and jury will believe her impassioned protests of innocence, yet they swallow up the story of the plaintiff, who it was established was with a prostitute, and they believe him further when he tells the court, grinning coyly at the judge, that he "didn't know she was a prostitute", that he was "just out for a good time".
@ozlass7778

PrisoneroftheNight Yes it's pathetic how the prostitutes are looked upon as the criminals who are a scourge on society. Meanwhile, the guys who are actually paying for the services of the prostitutes are apparently innocent angels who escape any judgement and persecution. A sad reflection of our society.

The court case was strange. I know it was only a magistrates court, but why are the lawyers moving about and standing next to the witness box US style? Also, I don't think that the Magistrate should have asked if anything was known before reaching his verdict should he? I thought that this should have been asked after finding her guilty but prior to sentencing?

Well, well, well, we keep Peterson but get rid of Marie Winter. I am very sorry we get rid of Winter. Maggie Millar did an excellent job. First of all there was "the swagger" and that devastating laugh. When she arrived on the scene - you knew about it. She was a worthy match for Bea. She couldn't dominate with muscle but did it through guile (and the drugs trade). What made her dangerous was the ability to hang onto a grudge and to act on it. We won't see her like until "the freak" arrives

She's a great character. I fully agree about the swagger. Some of her lines were legendary and among my favorites of the series. Don't worry too much though, she'll be back. :) Spolier: Watch out for Winter's line to Bryant when she arrives back at Wentworth and chucks her off the press!

I yelled and cussed at her, but she wasnt budging. She saved probably 1 or both our lives and/or being raped. I do miss that girl. So I see that and im think, "What a stupid girl". Mazzano Blue Definitely odd that they aren't handcuffed. Susie as a flight risk should also have had one arm handcuffed to the bed. They should've had Kate handcuffed and when she resisted sedated her and thrown in the back of the van!

36:14: That's a first time I've ever seen a character on the PCBH series drink any other kind of beer besides Foster's. Maybe the producers got a new sponsor for the show once the Foster's contract expires? So now I'll expect every beer can cracked open on PCBH to be Victoria Bitter--it's Prisonorian for beer, mate!

That place at 17;30 where suzy is standing waiting to cross the street is a bank. it looks really nice there. a city like all the others in the world. that business across from the craft store looks like a car repair place.i bet it would be really nice to visit but i wouldnt want to live there, most likely very expensive .suzy is really gutsy for leaving the hospital and taking a ride from a stranger. very dangerous indeed. lets see how far she gets.

They say insane people take on the strength of Hercules. I read a biography of Bette Davis, she and her husband adopted a baby girl and named her Margo from All About Eve. When Margo was about eighteen months she started screaming and crying, she moved a very heavy cabinet across her bedroom floor. The child was X Rayed and it showed that she was dropped on the floor when she was born and suffered brain damage. She lived in institutions almost her entire life.

I loved Marie Winter ( Maggie Millar) Yeah, she was an evil bitch. That's why I loved her. If Bea Smith spent any longer in isolation, Marie would killed Kate Peterson for sure. Anyone who's asking about Maggie Millar, (Marie Winter) she will return to Wentworth in a later episode.

Another "Very well." from Erica. That orderly is so cute. Didn't anyone ever tell you not to accept rides from strangers? Why is Ian leaving? Wow! 34 cents a gallon for petrol then, and 36 for diesel. Here in America, in 2015, it's $2.72 for petrol. But that's better than it used to be, a year ago it was $3.76.

36:34 - Sorry but the judge requesting details of Judy's past convictions is BS, since they have nothing to do with THIS case and she is already serving time for them. He even admits that his judgement is based on them. Since there is no way that the prosecution case can be proven (despite what the judge asserts) he cannot pass a guilty verdict. This case should therefore be declared a mistrial.
