@ 25:30 - Joyce asks Meg not to get the abortion. Because, she can’t have a baby after a botched abortion when she was young. And, that’s why she & Norm adopted a child. Then, in a later episode, she talks about her experience of giving birth to their daughter. Yet, in an even later episode, we meet her only child, her son. Now, I’m in currently watching my 28th run of the entire series. And, I am still scratching my head over one of the biggest continuity problems of the series. You would think that the writers would have created dossiers on the major/long term characters to refer to when writing their storylines. I mean, that would be a logical thing to do. I know that there are 692 episodes, and inconsistencies are bound to happen in that expanse of time. But, I’m just saying. And FYI, I’ve been watching “Prisoner” since 1982, when it jumped the pond & aired in America. But 2/3rd’s of my runs are between 2012 & 2022. It takes me about 2 1/2 months to complete a run, by watching 15 - 20 episodes a day. In case you wanted to know.

Joyce is being an interfering sticky beak over Meg's baby. She has no right or enough understanding of the situation to enable her to be so persuasive over what to do. She should just offer her opinion if she must and then leave it at that. Geoff seems a decent enough top dog and Myra would do well to respect him more for it. Meg just never learns..... As if confronting that intruder was ever going to get her anywhere. Sometimes her actions just totally baffle me in these tense situations, and Lord knows, she has had enough experience of them by now to be able to handle them more sensibly.

I truly agree, they've made a joke out of the prison system by allowing three men to share the prisoner block with 30 other women. This does not happen in reality and the show has become somewhat silly with the writing , which is in poor quality now that Denise Morgan isn't the principal writer, and the unlikely scenes in this show are absurd. The first 100 episodes are well written BUt once Bea is taken out it loses its believability that they are in a prison. And now it is as if they were in a girls' school for acting out and not a prison. I am glad that I didn't buy this box set because I would have been highly disappointed for 1000.00 (the price of the box set). I thought that the show would go on in an intelligent setting and not with all of this foolishness.

I agree after Denise Morgan left and one by one the original characters left( who were very strong original characters) everything started to go downhill; plots and storylines became repetitious and these later characters are in effect nothing more than pale imitations of the original characters. take each one and I'm sure you can match them up with one of the original characters.

@@mperry1329 The "silly" parts of the show make it look like kid's TV. Characters like Marlene are straight out of a children's TV drama. I think a lot of it has to do with the pressures of writing an ongoing soap that had to keep up the viewer's interest. They will have been obsessing over ratings on a weekly basis and continually looking for new or "novel" things to keep up people's interest in the show. All understandable - it's just a shame that they misfired so often with crap like the stupid cockroach races, surely one of the dumbest plots in the series.

Oh I am truly with you on this one my fellow Blockmate ;-) shame shame on Yemille she bring to great and much admired acting profession and not family. I have a rope and a large back garden with two spades, care to assist me deal with the menace?? Lol. At least Yemille be put out of shameful misery and us Blockmates can sleep instead of nightmares from terrible acting. It's like a horror movie with this woman. Who said she could act?, has she even been to drama school or was it a fluke and a case of nepotism like with Lexie to come?. Someone must've known Maria Mercedes at channel ten / grundy org to give her two roles on prisoner surely??. It's beyond me how she and many other gets these roles, I gather her husband is going to be another PCBH recast - George Harlem who played Greek fiancé of Litza , remember Manoli ??. Well you guessed it here he comes again ( likely with the same atrocious mullet hairstyle yuck!) to play the dream guy for Yemille - Ahmed Bakarta, who strangely enough has slipped back into a time warp and thinks he is playing Litza's fiancé because the acting is identical, wooden, stale and utterly cringeworthy . Someone really ought to knit little voodoo dolls of these awful actors and sell them for charity. I am sure Blockmates have tons of suggestions to include on the bad acing voodoo doll list :-) me had!!. , but it had to be said about Yemille and hubby Mr Badactor ( sorry my mistake Mr. Bakarta!! ;-) !! ). I still can't believe Maria Mercedes had other roles and a music career too!?, it has to be friends in the know is my opinion. ;-)

@@LUCAX651 She still comes to Prisoner reunions. She looks older but still the same. I mean Jeez, almost all the cast on these episodes are dead and gone now. Maury, Judy, Betty, Joy, Myra, Trevor, Les, Gerda.
