I feel so bad for Sam. Her mother rejected her and wants nothing to do with her and, as soon as she finds someone to look up to and craves a maternal figure in her life, she gets shot down again by Judy. Judy was too harsh and she's really getting on my nerves.

Judy should be ashamed of herself several times over. Lovestruck over a much younger and straighter woman was downright creepy, and then she flips out at Sarah who just wants to have her respect and attention. Maybe Pixie should have told her "Excuse me you know for a cast iron fact that I am straight and to be frank your following me around and writing songs about me is both creepy and perverse.....Leave me alone."

That was nasty of Jude to have a go at that new girl like she did for attempting to take her own life. How bloody insensitive! When will people learn that a suicide attempt is the absolute *opposite* of selfishness? You do *not* have a go at someone who is so down that they have tried to take their own life. The act of that by the accuser is ironically the selfish act. God, i hate nasty, vain people who have a go at people who are so depressed. Bloody nasty, that.

gthbf1 I can give you an insight into how it feels to want nothing but to end your own life. Being a child and being bullied- even the teachers having a go. Being an adult and being very careful about who you spend your life with. Picking the wrong person. Being knocked around. Losing your baby. Not getting any job you go for when you spend thousands on loads of courses, even though you are very intelligent. Having to move back in with your parents and living in the box room in your late 30's- and still grieving over your lost child and no job and feeling worthless. It's not selfish- it's a very careful and thought out plan to relieve all the people you care about of the burden that you cause. Especially when your own sister who never wanted children and has never even felt comfortable around them is lucky enough to give birth to two lovely children that you love. Being so absolutely skint that you don't even have 20p and you are sleeping on the floor in someone elses house with no hope or anything. I have been there, and all that time, I gave. To this day I have never eaten an animal, I have given blood 14 times, and my dad worked endlessy to donate £70,000 to Marie Curie Cancer Care coz my mum almost died when she had cancer. Some people are absolutely selfless when they decide to leave their life- they feel DEPRESSED. It is THE most selfless act. At the time, I would not have left people worrying- they were all doing their own thing and never bothered with me. My thoughts were consumed with how much I could relieve them of not needing to even think about me, because that in itself would have been selfish (if I'd have given them a reason to). So it made sense. Don't ever assume you can make such an assumption over a person who feels suicidal. Don't you ever dare. It is the most selfless feeling ever. I was a lonely, homeless, penniless, grieving person in my late 30's who had lost a baby and couldn't have any more naturally, and my violent partner had left me in the middle of the night with no warning (I was asleep) shortly after our baby died. My whole world collapsed- then within six months my grandma died (who I used to visit every day), my cat died, and a dear friend died. I was also 5 hours from death when I lost my baby- the surgeon told me. and I can't ever have another. Try telling me I'm selfish. Go on. I fucking dare you. And my parents have never to this day even mentioned their first grandchild that never got to meet them. Not once.

You dont have to give me any insight sunshine.......I already know. Believe it or not, i wasn't always the strong man that i am today. There was once a time when i was mired in the darkness. In those days. A time when there was no hope. When the only hope i had was to choose the way i died. At least i could control that..........But no. The good lord had other plans for me and i survived. However wretched and low i have become, i thank God that he spared me because i didn't hurt my family. My life means more to them than it does to me. It seemed worthless to me......but it was not worthless to them. it was priceless. Do you understand? That is why suicide is such a selfish act.
@lampshade8818
@lampshade8818 7 жыл бұрын
gthbf1 My family is different from yours, plus my family is also my unborn child. We have different experiences- and I am *not* your 'sunshine'. I appreciate that you 'found god', I do not believe in the same thing as you. I believe in nature, and I also believe in what I have found to believe in my own path in my life (including before and after this one).
@ChristAndChristCrucified

Yeah, suicide isn't selfish when no one gives a stuff about you. People say these things but forget not everyone has the same experiences as them. Some people have no friends or family that they would be leaving behind, they have no one.

I have to laugh when these comments come up, when age is mentioned. We live in such a superficial and artificial world now, that a person who hasn’t had surgery or dyed their hair, and actually looks their age is commented on. The world changes - and not always for the better, if this preoccupation with looking young is anything to go by. I have a sneaking suspicion, that eighty years ago - a forty year old would have probably looked like today’s sixty or even seventy year old

Sam could be a bit of a whiny pain at times, but on the whole I quite liked her. She didn't deserve an ending such as the one she got. Lou is just a horrible, vicious bitch who seems to get worse the longer her character develops. Lurch shouldn't have anything to do with Lou because she is nothing like her and looks scared stiff most of the time when helping her with her schemes. I'm glad Myra had an extra special birthday thanks to being in possession of that key, her and Geoff look a very compatible couple. I couldn't help but laugh when Myra suggested a transfer to Barnhurst, the idea seems very silly, though anything is possible after Bea got sent there, I guess.

Lou's around for a long time yet, I'm afraid. Her two lackeys, Kath Deacon (the not so intelligent, taller woman with blonde, curly hair tied up) and Frances Harvey (the sniping, miserable, shorter woman with long dark hair) last a little while, but they disappear from H Block, eventually. Alice "Lurch" Jenkins lasts for a long time in the series too. Lou does get to be too much now and then with her vindictiveness and hypocrisy, when you think, just bloody get rid of her, writers/producers!

You're assuming that there would be an autopsy. They are not mandatory in Australia unless there is reason to investigate.

Lovely classic Prisoner shock ending. Creepy slow motion zoom effect and accompanying electronic sting TIMES TWO! This very likely scared me sh*tless after midnight on Tuesday night in the early 90s lol.

Whisper, whisper, Myra. Now I know who Dennis reminds me of. It's Fred Grandy, the actor that played Gopher on The Love Boat. I'm glad my fortieth birthday was spend in southern California on the beach and not in prison. What a relief! Joyce dances great! Myra got the best birthday present: Jeff! Another character hung. OMG!

Judy's song is sounding better now. And I'm glad to see the pianola being used.Why do they pull that crap , pretending to forget a birthday and make the person fell awful? I make an effort to remember everyone's birthday.

What I don't get is that you could quite easily pretend you have forgotten somebodies birthday without suddenly being really off with them, what's that all about? They did the same to Lizzie on her birthday.. Why can't they just act natural and not mention their birthday?

Anne phelan told a hilarious story in an interview about a scene where she had to met Meg in the corridor and have a few lines and they couldn’t do the scene for laughing every time they saw each other and they ended up getting sent off set to compose themselves. Anyone think it might be the scene at 16 mins. They both looked like they were trying not to laugh at the start of the scene and avoiding eye contact.

Poor Sam and poor Alice in liking her and possibly wanting to have been a friend of hers, but losing that chance due to Lou's plan, Ettie getting confused, then telling Sam, Sam deciding to get the "present" after Ettie said she would get it for Myra. I hope that makes sense above lol. Did Alice ever tell her that she liked her? I guess not. If so, Alice could have kept that bitch Lou off her back and she could have been her mate.
