Vera set the stage for Joan. Apparently Maggie auditioned for Vera originally. They probably thought her depiction too hard for vera! They created joan for her instead after Vera dipped out!

God I remember watching this! It was good back in the days. I luv the new remake of this programme, I didn’t realise they used all the same characters names though, then again I wouldn’t remember them all from years back!! The new Wentworth is amazing, if you thought these old cell block H violent scenes were bad then ya ain’t see nothing yet!!

Bea Smith, not a very smart woman. It was quite clear that the freak was intending to rile her with remarks about her daughter. If Bea was as smart as she is supposed to have been she would have just ignored the remarks .That would have annoyed old freaky no end. But instead she rose to the bait and ended up in the pound...stupid woman. They should not have let the freak win this round, When she said she had a witness, Powell should have said, yes that's right and I also heard you provoking Smith with nasty remarks about her dead daughter, I will be informing the governor of that.

But Powell didn't report the incident, she told the freak she didn't see anything!!... Powell then told the governor that the freak was goading Bea in order for her to lose her parole so it was decided to place Bea into isolation!!
