It's so commendable that a MAXIMUM security prison can embrace this program, even letting the prisoners take the projects back to their cells, trusting that they're not going to use the hooks or needles for shanks. That speaks a lot for the zen of the needle/hook.

Isn't it a bit sexist to say that it's amazing that the blankets were made by men? However it is great to see prisoners enjoying a craft & creating blankets for those who need them. Beautiful, colourful, skillfully produced, blankets they are too.
