سنہ 1971 کی جنگ ہتھیار ڈالنے کے معاہدے اور بنگلہ دیش کے قیام پر ختم ہوئی تو تینوں ملکوں کے جنگی کیمپ قیدیوں سے بھر گئے۔ سب سے بڑی تعداد پاکستانی فوج کے جنگی قیدیوں کی تھی جنھیں انڈین کیمپوں میں رکھا گیا۔ سنہ 1974 میں شملہ معاہدے کے بعد یہ انڈیا کی قید سے آزاد ہوئے۔
بی بی سی اردو سے انڈین فوج کے زیر انتظام کیمپ نمبر 95 کے قیدی میجر (ریٹائرڈ) صابر حسین نے بات کی۔ جبکہ جنگ کے زخمی اور قیدی بننے والے میجر (ریٹائرڈ) نعیم احمد کی بیٹی نے اپنے والد کی تکلیف کی روداد سنائی ہے۔

Unfortunately that’s what has been poured in the minds by people who want humans to hate each other for personal profit. I don’t blame the officer but the religious bigotry that has been sowed in the mind of society. My father never taught me to hate a religion just because my grandfather was martyred by hindus. I’m lucky to have have been raised as a person who looks beyond someone’s religion, race and ethnicity. In fact my closest friend happens to be a hindu and he along with his family are far better Pakistanis than a lot of hate monger clergy.

He said pakistani’s considered Hindu’s inferior, and the most badly hit community from war was of Bangladeshi Hindus. I feel proud of my grandpa who fought for the right side and my ancestors who have cut their heads instead of converting to a religion which teaches you so much hatred towards others.

Main reason of Fall of Dhaka was Mukti Bahini who were trained and supported from Pakistan's day one enemy India. 120,000 Terrorists of Mukti Bahini with indian soldiers looted, raped and killed civilians. Then India created nagative and false narrative against West Pakistan which later became national narrative of traitor Shaikh Mujeed and his supporters. So, Shaikh Mujeeb and all his supporters are the sinner and resposible of Fall of Dhaka. West Pakistanis tried to unite the land which was created together by the muslims of sub continent.

Whoever at BBC created this report should have done a check on whether the person being interviewed is reliable. Major Sabir Hussain claims to be transported from Calcutta to Bihar via sea route in ships. He mentions mistreatment and how he washed the "roti" with sea water. There is absolutely no sea route between Calcutta (now Kolkatta) and Bihar. Major Sabir Hussain's interview should not have been included in this BBC report.

@@historyhouse9151 I see... Mhmm🤔🤔🤔 Lemme think... I'm from Bihar and have travelled to Calcutta(Kolkata) innumerable amount of times. To transport so many people from Calcutta to Bihar, there is no proper channel except extended Ganges and it's subsidiaries. Even if I consider this channel as a standard route of transportation of these POWs, there is no way these people could reach Ranchi through River routes. If it's not a lie, this old man must have lost his memories of being POW, since his senses would have been blurred by the sheer hatred that he with his cavalry was captured by 'Hindus'. Besides, BBC is known for doing these minor tweaks in the whole narrative to change the perspective of general newer gen z people. I remember viewing interviews of generals of Pakistan praising Field Marshal Sam Maneksaw for his hospitality in India. I won't say everything thing was hunky dory in that period, since the hatred for Pakistani troops was immense in Bengali hearts for mutilating their ladies in East Bengal, but the story doesn't add up to the claims of this old POW.

Are you saying that the Indian Army transported Major Sabir Hussain from Dhaka to a sea port, and then to some place in bihar via sea? Their are direct land and rail routes that were used to transport the prisoners of war.

I think he might have meant from Chittagong or Dhaka or any place from Bangladesh to Kolkata through Sea, because roadways might not be safe. This old man, doesn't understand the fact that he was sent in one piece was actually an achievement for Indian Army, there was one guy from Pakistan once said if there is a civil war in East Pakistan than it was discussed among civilians to go towards Indian border and cross it rather than Dhaka because that's the safest place for them.
