I feel its somewhere a blessing that this movie got delayed by more than 10 years. I don't think this movie would have gathered so much of attention across globe lets say if it came out 10 years or even pre/post pandemic. Malayalam cinema has grown outside Kerala post pandemic hence releasing this movie now will ensure it has a wider reach. Was Prithviraj or even Blessy capable of pulling this off 10 years or even 5 years before? I doubt. Not doubting on their capabilities but the scale and even from an investment standpoint, people wouldnt have trusted to get their returns back. Now since there are so many malayalam actors who have a wider reach across global, it is an easier mechanism for Blessy & Team to sell this movie without much efforts. Glad to see this movie finally coming out surpassing all the challenges.

The game changed with Drishyam 2013... then among Tamilians Premam... then Pulimurugan... then on a Little more non Malayalie audience Lucifer... then with Majorly Telugu audience on OTT with Ayappanum Koshy... then JanaGanaMana among Telugu and Tamil audience.... Minnal Murali as the first major OTT release on a pan Indian scale after Lucifer... 2018, Manjumel Boys would be part of discussed and forgotten.. I Don't see much of 2018 being discussed now... (Maheshinte Prathikaaram, Kurup, Kubalngi Nights, etc too played topics of discussions on Malayalam Cinema) ... Next major growth enhancing films in Malayalam are probably all Prithviraj Magnum Opus films and the most awaited Bilal, RAM, etc.

As I watch this interview, and learning that Aadujeevitham was in talks since 2008-2010 during the Pokkiri Raja/Thanthonni days…keep in mind that Prithviraj was hated so much at the time (calling him arrogant and what not). None of us thought about the impact that this movie is going to make…look where Prithviraj is now!

@@shelly_lee oh that's awesome. I am from Kerala. I don't think I have to explain to you about the geography of India and the malayalam cinema industry. But I suggest you watch these movies like : Kumbalangi Nights, Jana Gana Mana, Drishyam 1 & 2, Bangalore Days and the recently released movie 'Manjummel Boys'. But I am not sure if it's being played in Cali. I watch Hollywood movies too but they are not making any good movies now. It's all about the money. Just like how Bollywood is here.
