Well done Toyota. VW, BMW or Mercedes (Because of Germany Diesel Lobby) slept through hybrid drives and have been left behind Toyota's hybrid drives. My next car will be Toyota RAV4 Hybrid.

Nice video! I'm getting myself a Prius! Do you know why it didn't want to go in to EV more during the speeds 90-100 kmh? It would be interesting to see the same route with the temperatures >15C.

Should be about 60km/h or 38mph, as it takes him 24:15 to get there. Nice economy, even charged the battery. Does the engine turn off in EV-mode?

uphill from 0:15 to 0:35 . the rest is all downhill. any new diesel could achive that

nope there are a few uphill sections. from 1:00 to 2:00 a few.

Start and finish are on identical altitudes (they are on the same river). You are probably right though that new diesel's wouldn't be much worse in this situation.

Driving like that my normally aspirated, non hybrid, 5 spd manual Suzuki Baleno would have used 3.8 L/100 km regular petrol..

Is this the great Prius ? On my Diesel I get a medium of 4,17 liter/ 100 km. And on my 1.6 liter Golf 2 was the best value 3.1 liter/100 km.....very poor Prius but very complex, God beware of failures. I drove 3 cars over 500,000 km , one of them till 704,655 km when I overturned on the motorway and had to give it to the junkyard...

Drove petrol cars all my life. Honestly I'd only take diesel in an S class, otherwise diesel rattle just gets way too annoying after quiet petrol cars.
