Quite the professional 😁. Be interested to see this with the UV light in a couple of days. As you've got a garage to work in you can turn the lights off and block any windows to get it really dark in there. It helps with seeing any dye with the UV light. It's interesting to follow this project, just hope it's not the SX4 revisited. 👍

Yeah Iain. I doubt many pressure sensors fail. Certainly not what I expected. My SX4’s AC is a ball breaker 🤣🍻

@@TheGibby3340 Never changed a Toyota sensor yet. If it's a VW or Audi then pressure sensors failures are very common. Not only do they fail electrically but they can also lose refrigerant through the sensor body.

@ 1:31, does that mean you had to replace the block and the sensor? Or was your point that the block does not have a Schrader valve, which required you to recover the refrigerant before removing the sensor? BTW, thank you for this great video! We recently purchased a 2012 Prius C, and the XTOOL is throwing the B1423 code.

The sight glass block on which the sensor mounts to does NOT have an internal check valve below the pressure sensor. Necessitating refrigerant recovery. I am very fond of my eyesight and hope to use it for some years to come 😁 I recovered, replaced only the sensor, pulled a vacuum and replenished the refrigerant charge to the spec weight detailed on the under hood placard. I actually do have an injector. But it’s loaded with PAG 46. No good for electric compressor’s as you know. Couldn’t be bothered cleaning it 🤣
