It’s a slight dim. Being out in the sun, yeah it makes it rough, but if you find shade or use your body as shade and can see something slightly dim, you are fine

I’m in my house, lights all on in the room I’m in and my brightness is at 10%, maybe 15%. It’s not that bad and I like the dim of the screen. Easier on the eyes

I love the glass ones. Very smooth. Plastic is just easier apply but degrades over time. The screen protectors are nice

I got one because I’m tired of people snooping over my shoulders. I’m not doing anything shady or wrong it just pisses me off that people have no respect for privacy. It makes girls insecure too. Just sayin. It’s funny whenever I catch people perching over my shoulders and they still cannot see. I can log into my mobile banking app with no worries of lurking eyes.

THANK YOU SO MUCH for this fantastic, very in-depth review of privacy screen protectors. And, given I just removed a tempered glass (as opposed to film) matte screen protector, because at that thickness small text becomes blurred (actually everything gets a little blurred), I'm gonna give this a miss as well. I don't hang around enough people, let alone groups, to warrant squinting, burning out my screen, and aging my battery faster. I had my suspicions about the brightness issue, but I had not expected looking at it straight ahead to be more blurry. This was worth every minute of watching. Absolutely Golden! THANKS AGAIN! I don't know about new ones but I saw once a black protector on an iphone when I was in a plane, some lady needed help with wifi password, gave it to me, and the quality looked so bad. You can see "pixels" or at least looks like it. Kind of like with paperlike

Something I did is I use a waterproof phone case and I use my antispy protector so that way my phone is more durable and the protector lasts longer

Ive tried quite a few brands and the "dark screen thing" has never interfered with much. im just looking for an extremely narrow view point. In the field i work in the screen has always been beneficial. The brand I'm used to running doesn't make privacy anymore

Oh how I wished I went and researched first before purchasing one. I went and bought one because I was going overseas. My intention obviously because of privacy so people can’t see what you’re reading or watching on the phone. As well as if you need to do some banking stuff. So anyways i got one, and it was soo dark that it had a hard time picking up my faceID. They had to open two packs before it started. The day later i was up and about sunny day and could hardly see my screen. My battery was draining fast. Also it was bothering my eyes adjusting the screen when i move my phone around. I decided to send it back and just get a normal one. Wish i saw this video. A lot of stuff mentioned here is what i experienced. It annoyed me soo much i couldn’t last a day.

They are using lines in it similar to a fresnel lens that makes it so that light can't pass through from the sides but only looking straight at it. Shouldn't be that bad in person up close but that is why.

I am really upset at myself for not watching this video before I got the screen. I am a fuss when it comes to my display quality and even though it looks nice when it’s off it’s absolutely not nice when it’s on. My privacy screen on the samsung 24 ultra doesn't turn black, but just dimmed on the other angles. IDK if this is just my protector, but I'm kind of let down as it doesn't actually turn completely black...

It is probably that particular one, it’s a bad privacy screen protector as a good one is supposed to turn completely black. It could however be that you haven’t turned it far enough.

Not worth it they make it hard to see even head on. If you’re outside with the screen brightness to the max they crack easily. I’ve had my phone for less than a week and it started cracking from the left hand side of the dynamic island all the way downto the middle right half of my phone you’d be better off getting a real good tempered screen protector the privacy ones are not worth it

@@vonbolden7367 anyone would do it. I don't recommend this type of protective glass, it's still kind of OK inside, but outside, on the street, on the road, in combination with sunglasses... you can't see anything. I will buy the next glass normally.
