Hey everyone, I should have been a bit more clear on the reliability of RB26s. They’re totally fine bone stock (and unopened), but for my application and the power goal I’m going for of course it will have issues. This really goes for any engine, pushing something 2-3 times the stock power output will inherently make it less reliable lol. The reference I made between the 2JZ GTE and RB26DETT is that a stock bottom end 2JZ can generally hold more power reliably than a stock bottom end RB26. Of course, there are always outliers, that’s why I said generally/majority of the time.

You should really invest into a battery terminal switch so you can just disconnect the battery whenever you don’t drive

13:57 The rb is way lighter (250lbs), and smaller, which is why the r32 dominated group a and why toyota never raced the 2jz, they put a i4 turbo in a car that just kinda looked like a supra. Also even with the awd BS the r32 is still about 400lbs lighter than the mk4 supra
