In the last year I've had a pretty significant career change coming from 14 yrs in the carpet cleaning industry and hundreds of hrs of certification training. I'm now back in construction and have found an interest in detailing and listening to all the chemical formula talk (ph, surfactants, and the like), I feel like I'm able to keep using some of that knowledge I've learned over the years. I love listening to both of your knowledge bases. Thank you for making the content you both make. 🙂

What good is the NDA if your chemist tells you all the other products he creates for other companies? I would walk away from that chemist
@diydetailofficial14 сағат бұрын
Our chemists don’t formulate and tell.

@@diydetailofficialAt 10:40 you literally say that once the NDA is signed your chemist will open up and tell you the other products he has created for other brands. I guess if I found your chemist he would open up and tell me he created your products once I sign a NDA...no?
@InfiniteDetailing1013 сағат бұрын
@@dallaspaintcorrectionautod8343unless the chemist is on your payroll, or you make a legal contract that the chemist can make a product for you, he most likely makes commission off your sales etc etc. many different situations. In those cases it’s not white label. Doesn’t matter if they make chemicals for other companies. Chemists are usually independent contractors so they don’t make money off just making products for one company. Unless it’s a big company and on payroll. But many cases, blend house chemists are usually owners themselves. It’s very common for chemists to eventually create blend houses and sell products for side money. But most blend houses, They have their own chemicals and they can tweak a little bit for your preferences, but you can’t tell them to change the recipe and most likely someone else also has your chemical too.
@InfiniteDetailing1013 сағат бұрын
@@dallaspaintcorrectionautod8343in our case as nighthawk, we have a chemist on our payroll. Some of our stuff is white label and we are transparent about it. Our flagship stuff isn’t white label. We could just go to bnb and get everything off there, but the problem with them is even if they develope stuff for you, the other guy can have the same thing. Starting out I guess is fine, gotta start somewhere. But my point is, bc there’s so many smaller companies like us, many chemists take advantage of making some money off multiple companies and it’s super common bc not every chemist made it to blend house level or hired by huge companies. Unless they’re blend houses then they usually don’t care and just want ppl to white label their product.

For both of you, do you see any advancements coming with the drying aids you both design? I haven’t tried Clean by Pan yet, but I’ve tried clean and diy Waterless Wash. I love both of your products. The thing Ive noticed about every single one of these long winded videos is that they have very little viewership and a ton of comments. Most of the same people are watching these videos and the reach really isnt going much beyond the same circle of people, likely all in the industry in some way. Niche brands really dont deliver the true value that you want and it seems these small product companies are just competing for the same small group that keeps getting passed around for the "latest and greatest"

What I wonder sometimes is did they (all these newer smaller companies)do there do diligence on making sure this stuff is completely safe in the long run on paint, plastic etc. In my head I think the big companies Meguires, TW, Mother's have been around a long time and maybe on the safer side of things. I do realize if you made something that did do damage on a large scale, It would probably wipe a company out.

Actually you asked in Shopify chat at 11:10 “why hasn’t my order shipped” I replied at 11:20 “We do not ship on weekends it’s only been 1 business day since your ordered we are working hard to fulfill your order in a timely manner” and you never responded (so I actually replied faster to you about your order concerns than in the comments) seems like your just pushing a false narrative on a growing business that’s only 3 months old. If you ordered back when we launched yes it was quite overwhelming with all the massive support and orders but we were able to fulfill over 2000 orders in our first month so delays did happen we already addressed those concerns.
