The perfect property does exist. Love the gambrel roof. Nice & quiet there. I’m definitely a 🫐🫐🫐blueberry fan! Mt Battie yielded quite a few blueberries for pancakes when we were in Camden. Thanks for the tour Pete!!!

Yes, I was always told the " Air Line" referred to the ne the 18 wheelers gave the road because of the fact that the trucks seemed to " Blow" their air brakes on this stretch. Still and all a beautiful property!

Been to Maine..beautiful state..when does the lake ice melt ? Probably late May. The warmest summer day will be in august with fall beginning sept 1 and a light freeze. Winter arrives on october 15th and lasts until april 30th.

Assessed or not I find the price of this parcel appalling. Taxes too high as well. Fine acreage here in Columbia Mississippi (with power and water on site) can be had for $3,500 per acre in 20-40 acre parcels albeit without the lake. That cottage is not that nice, it's unfinished and worth maybe $100,000 today. The land is worth $60,000 in my mind. Asking price should be around $160,000 and I wouldn't pay that for it.

Beautiful property. I think I would move Everything upstairs also. With all those blueberries, and the screen garage doors, and that stove cooking away, I'd say it's safe to assume your going to have Every Bear within 40.miles rolling up on you. Which means you definitely better carry sidearm, even while swimming. How are the SABAE in the area? ( Sasquatch) Definitely around the area, no doubt.. If friendly, ok, If not, lots of trouble..

Just 3-4 years ago folks were sticking to a reasonable amount above the assessed value. You could get 40-acres of raw land for $25,000. I'd even seen $19,000. And items like this were $30s-$40s - depending upon the township status (Un/Organized) and proximity to towns. There was a spot on Kennedy in Island Falls that had two mobile homes with custom woodworking and three wood stoves on 15-acress for $22,000; it sold for $18,000. Since the pandemic hit? Talk about opportunism... ---------

@@theyangview1898 Did you go take a look at the Tax Commitment roll for this property for the *actual* assessed value? Until you do you can't make that statement in regard to the "value" of what is basically a barn with a few appliances and shelving with much of it not even finished. And as far as "days gone by", I seriously doubt that a state whose median age is 52 and where alcoholism is the #1 medical illness would have gotten a second look if it were not for CV-19 blowing through the US. As an avid visitor to Maine since the late 80s, who planned to make it my retirement destination, I started looking seriously in 2017 yet was eying it two years prior to that. So I've seen those *real* prices. Yet the pandemic has created a greed that's sickening and made it totally ridiculous. The only reason I've stayed at it is because there are those who are sensible to be found among the hyenas. BTW - I forgot to mention that the spot on Kennedy also had a 1/2-acre beaver pond... ------------
