This series is Season 2 of my whole trading journey, where I genuinely started with 0. Season 1 ended with me reaching ~600e and achieving my goal. From there, season 2 started with the goal of buying a car, and I am glad to say I was successful. Check out Skinport: skinport.com/r/prix

Hello, you motivated me to start flipping and it was going really well, but then I found some articles that trading like this is impossible because you should pay VAT from the whole price of the sale and as I was flipping on skinport, I got scarred and stopped. I know that you are not a tax advisor, but I would love to see some video about this topic. There is not much information about this topic on the internet and some information I found is totally different from another one.
@ludvigmantyla58127 ай бұрын
You'll have to read up on the specific tax laws in your country since it differs. But as for my country (Sweden) its really hard to operate as a company with the current tax laws regarding VAT. There have been discussions to change the regulations but nothing has been done as of yet. There are a couple of companies who are able to operate at a profitable rate but I have yet to know how they are able to do so. This used to be different in my country back in the day when skins were a fairly new concept, and at the start you only had to pay tax on your profits. But a couple of years back our tax agency decided to change that, effectively killing a majority of the companies that were buying/selling skins.
@ludvigmantyla58127 ай бұрын
My unofficial advise to you would be that as long as youre flipping at a very small scale I dont think you need to worry about VAT (although this is highly country-specific)
@r0tten6097 ай бұрын
@@ludvigmantyla5812 thank you for your reply, I will try to find some good tax advisor, I live in the Czech Republic and I cant find any specific information on the internet. But I kniw that there are some big traders who are able to operate so there has to be a way. My inventory has grown pretty fast so I dont want to risk it anymore.

If you are selling amounts over the VAT threshold then you need to pay VAT on that amount over the threshold. This becomes easier when you consider that you only need to pay VAT on EU sales on skinport, which is often times 50% of the sales, so it is much more manageble.

Hey Prix i got a question i got tons of csgo cases and would like to cash out do you have any site you would recommend?
@PrixCS26 ай бұрын
if you have a lot of cases, I'd say your options are sort of limited. You won't be able to sell all of them on Skinport, at least not quickly at all, because if your item is under 1.5 eur, then you can only list 50 of them at a time, and sometimes can't even list 1 because there are too many on the site. Alternatively you could sell on a site with somewhat high liquidity like gamerpay if you select an attractive price. Otherwise, I would say the easiest is to sell everything on steam, and then buy a couple of large items that you can sell on skinport for their maximum price. Hopefully over 1000 eur so it gets 6% selling fee

The vast majority of the profit came from one of my strategies, which was buying skins on Buff163 and selling them on Skinpot. At very good times I was able to make 50% from a cycle, which lasted 4 weeks. Now its not possible because buff banned all non-Chinese users :(
@Sercan-mz8ff2 ай бұрын
If you're selling skins on Skinport that means you're recieving money in your bank account regularly. So according to law you also have to pay VAT on each sale prix.
