My FAVORITE Easy Mods: R34 Skyline + LIMITED DROP

The JDM imported Nissan Skyline R34 Impala is finally ready for the big trip! We install some final touches to the project car right before we leave. Window tints were pretty high up on the to do list, considering we will be sleeping in the car some nights. The RC Drift wheel for the rear wiper has become a signature move on my project cars. And most importantly, the out tie rods were replaced, followed by an alignment to ensure the car is straight.

Mikey it’s a real plate, in Japan you go to the land transportation office and get the light up plates. While there you can choose the numbers you want on them. The reason the flower patch is on there is because that plate was once a rear plate with a seal of the prefecture where it was registered. When the plate was taken off of the car, the hole for the seal was drilled out so it could not have a new seal put on and used on a different car.

the reason they even made neon plates was for the people up north in hokkaido, who have to deal with boat loads of snow in the mountains. since people found out how sick they were, people in every prefecture have taken up getting neon plates

the kanji at the top of the plate is generally the prefecture, but smaller municipalities can also have their own designation here, it's just the region the plate was assigned in numbers up at the top designate vehicle classification, your 3 digit code starts with the number 3 which is for passenger cars, the other two numbers are pretty much arbitrary, but are used for identification to increase the number of available plates (think of how in the US, two license plates can have the same digits as long as they're from a different state) the symbol to the left of the plate number is sorta difficult to describe; certain vehicle use cases like military vehicles or rental cars will all use a given designation, otherwise it's just another identifier to prevent duplicate plates from being made plate numbers are also largely arbitrary, but given the amount of plates in circulation a plate with less than three digits is rare light up plates are a thing you can order in Japan, they're more expensive of course, but are used so you can see the numbers through the snow and stuff (and they look cool) your plate is "legal" actually, the classification and all is correct, often times people overseas totally misrepresent their car as a commercial truck or rental car just by not knowing the license plate system though it does not look like one that was issued in Japan (real ones are REALLY expensive to get here). if you're curious, your plate's region (富士山) is Mt Fuji

the plate is "from" mt. fuji area ("fujisan" 富士山） the ya （や）is just part of the license number and to be honest it is impossible to tell whether it's real or not... kinda leaning toward not because of the vanity plate number, but honestly it's made out of the exact same stuff anyway so i don't think it being real or not matters haha although it does seem like discarded / exported plates have that circle cut out of the top left, so maybe it really is real! in that case, the sakura circle thing is just for looks. never seen it on the street in japan.

I have been a follower ever since the crash and have enjoyed seeing the car been rebuilt.. do you have any old videos of when you did the rhd conversion and other videos. When you go into oldest videos there is only around 5 or 6 videos before you go into the rebuild of the car. So I had a friend that had a Toyota Camry. He said he wanted to change his oil I told him he need to put 4qts . Well he put 4 gallons in. The car smoked like a mosquito sprayer truck. Oil was coming out the exhaust. Surprisingly after getting all the oil out and doing the oil change correctly the car still ran.

on the rear wiper i just bought a Mitsubishi GTO and really dont fancy having a rear wiper, i will probably remove it and weld the hole up as going to respray so its back to its original colour white as someone has sprayed it black then wrap the car for short term colour changes
