It's amazing how we, as human kind, can create this. From the building their in, to the instruments they're using to play the music that's been written. To see them moving in unison and hear the emotion exploding from that stage. If this music doesn't make you feel something, you are not alive.

Don'tHateMe CauseYou'reWrong, - Do you have shit for brains? No one cares about your virtue signaling. Western civilization developed these instruments (mostly in Germany and Italy) They learned how to play them, and how to write for them. They also built the concert halls within the white culture that allowed the performances to take place. In particular, the Irish (Pict/Celtic) culture provided the leitmotif for the centerpiece theme in this musical score. You need to pull your head out of your ass if you're going to write to me.

Voted one of the most dramatic pieces of music of the century.. Fairly certain the violin soloist is Miguel Borrego, (Spains top concertmaster). He turned 'Professional' at age fourteen. He plays a $400,000, 1710 Carlo Tononi violin. And the lovely lady next to him is Yulia Iglinova. Also a worlds top concertmaster. She is probably the only one on that floor who has played at the Tchaikovsky Conservatory. Miguel Borrego does a reasonable job with the "5 Note rolls" - but, as a Concert Master, its probably the first time he has ever seen '5 Note rolls'. Amazing.

This has to be one of the most beautiful iconic pieces of music compositions ever put on the big screen. Please dont get me wrong there are numerous monumental themes put there but, this strikes at the heart and, soul of a by gone time of heroics and, romance. Bravo Trevor on the conducting such a beutiful music.

Just watching the solo violinist play is too much pressure for me; I can't even begin to imagine what he feels.

+Dinglie Danglie Doodle This is not very difficult for a professional orchestra... I'm playing in a scholar orchestra, the OLDA (In france, "Orchestre du Lycée David D'Angers"), one of the bigger scholar orchestra in Europe, with player between 10 and 17 years old, and we played it, with no big difficulties. Sure, they are very good, but the first violin is always a machine.

I think this is perhaps the best soundtrack ever written. I realize not all the themes were his own, but that is part of the genius of it. He incorporated music that so fit the time period and tone of the movie. I almost hate to give it this top spot only because I am such a huge fan of other great movie composers like Williams, Zimmer, and others.

cracking soundtrack for a brilliant movie. Jones knocked it out the park, basing the track on Dougie Maclean's iconic fiddle tune, building in the Scots snap in the main theme, adding the marching beat of the 18th C army, then the sweeping strings for the big scenes.
