For me, as someone who doesn't really totally understand the judging criteria, I still feel like NME had the better overall performance, and I stand by my thinking that the "Anti-Drops" round is one of the ballsiest moves I've seen anyone do in any beatbox/loopstation competition. That said, Rythmind's percussion and synths were amazing and I think he definitely caught the crowd a lot more than NME on the day. I think he's definitely done better performances, would have liked to hear more vocals from him though as I think he has a great voice and he could have played with that more for my liking.

The thing is you really have to consider the context here. Both Rythmind's rounds were awesome musically and technically but when you look at them as one, it actually follows a theme. For me, in the context of a battle, it earns him a lot of points. First he "headshot's" him and then NME actually dies (with the flatline at the end of round 2), which not only constructs a theme but completely dismisses NME's first round (he got headshot, tried to "stay alive", still died). It's just an opinion but I think that in a battle the way you present your routines also matters a lot.
@scribey25413 жыл бұрын
Something else to add about the metronome thing: the judges said that if they ignored that part (I don't know if they meant the drop or that part of the drop not sure) the result would still be Rythmind which was also part of the decision
