"Pro" Builder Tries Roblox UI... (Creating a Loading Screen!)

Graphic designer here, you did super amazing however there are a few things you can improve on. First, the colors. The colors of the checkers would blend better if it matched the color of the logo. Also, that gray and red button doesn't blend well either. Id suggest going with a white button with contrasting text. It looks like you also just threw some white text on there, best to try to vary it up a little bit. Maybe the loading text and skip text can also be yellow and the assets text be that blueish white color from the logo. This will make everything just a little more cohesive and you will be able to tell the difference. second, the utilization of space. Everything seems crammed into 1 area, the best thing you can do is to spread it out and make super good use of negative space. The loading asset text could be waay smaller (just barely legible) and the "loading" text just seems to be sitting there. In fact, its not even needed at all since you have a loading bar already. If you downsize the assets text, that loading text wont be so out of place. Lastly, you used the same font for everything except the logo. The best thing is to use minimum of 2 fonts and maximum of 2/3 fonts with a variation of 1. We call them typefaces. A typeface = a font and all of it's variations (such as bold, italic, cap, no cap, etc). A font is just the text with no variations. I would suggest on the text "loading" and "skip", they use the same font OR they use bold or all capitalized, preferably a font that has similar style to the logo, (more blocky, less rounded). The assets text doesn't matter too much, just dont bold it or capitalize it and maybe you can use a more readable friendly font in a small size. As I said, you did a super good job but these just are a couple things I think you can improve on. I hope I explained this well enough for you to understand c:

I'm no UI designer, but when you drag things, they use the first increment you specify. By default when elements are imported, they use offset. If you use scale, it will scale with the screen. So make sure to add a dummy scale value before you start dragging. Also, just so you know, the helmets are stretched. I know there's a few instances, properties, and plugins to help with aspect ratio. - Just so you know, I didn't know you could tile ImageLabels, so I still learned something! :D

Hey RoBuilder, the UI looks great! One thing I would suggest is inserting a UI Corner in to the Loading background frame. Doing this rounds the corners, and makes the UI look overall much cleaner and less sharp.

Also if you add a UI corner to the frame you would probably have to duplicate it into the yellow checkerboard patter as well

Hey! I just wanna say that when you move the UI elements around with the cursor, they move in pixels (preferably you want it to move in percent since on a phone the pixels are lower). So make sure you use values (for ex: 0.5, 0.5) and not move it around!

Another tip; using "border" is not very reliable, i recommend using ui stroke, you can insert it into really anything. and ui corner

you know. that UI looks sick and i have some ideas for it. you should maybe put a bike driving in the loading bar to make it look like the bike is loading in it and when the loading is done maybe make a bike or multiple bikes drive from left to right or right to left for a cool transition from the loading screen to the main game. still can't wait to see the full game working!

If you want to stop the dead space problem, you can hold alt while clicking, like you can select separate parts inside a model, it should ignore the dead space as long as its transparent, hope this helps!

Btw I'd say the hardest part of UI is making the UI itself in Photoshop; like the ones requiring more detail, vectors, etc. which can't be done in Studio.

Personally, I don’t like the name “My Bike Life” for your game. I know it is a test name but if you stick with it it’s not that attracting and appealing. Other then that you have done a great job with your game! You should add custom footstep sounds instead of the default Roblox ones since there not to good. Again that’s just my opinion.
