I have been using the heel up chipping for years. It works really well out of the rough. The deeper the rough the more you lift the heel.

There are always gonna be haters... Haters gonna hate, but you have a great positive outlook and attitude. May God bless you abundantly! 👍 And yes the weight placement absolutely makes a difference...

I’ve been doing the “heel up” method for a couple of months now. Sometimes I miss it just a touch much toe side. Thinking about getting a full face wedge to help me out on these…..

Great video and thanks for the tip. If you add lead weight to the toe what is the impact on full shots.

Good video as always!! Can you comment on how much lead tape (what weight range) would be appropriate? How about a video on applying it!?😀

Finding your tips very helpful Matt. How far up does the heel need to be? I’ve heard a lot that the pros use the toe.

By changing the weight to the toes, will it impact the full swing ball flight?
@Thebestcantaloupe

Looked like the ball popped up in the air a bit more with the heavier weight in the toe. I get the "better feel leads to better confidence" factor as well, which is a huge thing in golf and often times not discussed because it's hard to quantify.

Great tip! What effect will the heavier weight on the toe side have on longer shots?

Helps to not hook so much and get a little more distance with off center hits to the right

Yep. Heel up brings the club closer and the swing is more of a back and thru instead of around

I’d love to see a video on how to get the club through a chip before the hands. I tend to lead my chips with my hands which de lofts the chip. It drives me nuts! Is there a way to train myself to get the club through first?? Thanks! Love the vids!!

Don't want club through first. That's scooping which is a no no. Delofting is fine for a low chip with runout.

@@theoakhills iam a 20 handicap but lost all my confidence with short chip shots and the weight system seemed little more forgiving and some thing that might help. Currently on 40 rounds played this year and chip every pre game this year

Then why not just make a wedge where the weight is already towards the toe to begin with???
@LOHO8682

I don't want to hate, for hate's sake but...your landing spot was further out on the second set of balls and thus closer to the pin. Did the tech (adjustable weight) do that? You may feel it better, but even Tiger admits he's a feel guy. Tiger could use a baseball bat and chip better than most players. Peace.

Your not changing anything with those weights. It’s been proven over and over. The amount of weight you would have to move to shift the COG even 1/64th (which would do nothing for performance) is massive. A wedge head is heavy.

@@LLCOOLJARED1 I linked the proof but he keeps removing it. 4 grams changes COG by .006 if it’s placed In The hosel of the club for say a 7 iron headweight. That’s over doubles the distance than you can move these weights. So for every 6 grams or so in this wedge you could expect about .002 of COG change. Which isn’t even measurable and no human on earth could tell the COG alone moved by performance. You’d need 30 plus grams to change the COG in a wedge and even then it would me so small you would t see any performance changes.
@jwild5360

@@LLCOOLJARED1 it’s all proven by simple science and math. No guessing involved.
