2:26 "they're not just dancing, they're straight up performing" my favorite way to describe ateez's allure. they're performers above all else. and theyre fucking good performers

The guy with the red hair is Wooyoung. He is featured in a studio Choom Artist of the Month Dance cover. It’s worth watching. He was a dance major at an arts school and he is pretty good at freestyle. Ateez doesn’t really have a weak link when it comes to dance. They aren’t a group that has to hide their main vocalist in the back. Jongho-actually centers two of the KQFellas dances (the second and third).

You are correct that they aren’t just dancing-they are performers. It feels like I’m watching a 4 min musical not a Kpop group. When Ateez perform they prioritize allowing individual character show,. The Guerrilla guy is Seonghwa. Ateez has what’s called the “demon line” who are San (the hip hop guy), Seonghwa, and Hongjoong (the opening rapper). Known for their facial expressions and immersion in their characters. The second rapper is Mingi-he is also a main dancer. He freestyles like a mad man. Yunho is also a main dancer-he leads the dance break at the end. Wooyoung is a dancer and vocalist. Yeosang a dancer and vocalist. Jongho is main vocalist but he is also an amazing dancer. I agree-I love his Jongho does his singing thing then jumps into choreo. I actually think Ateez performances look best on a fixed camera-because their dances are so theatrical. Dance practices that are must see: Inception Fireworks Wonderland Horizon (B side but I love this dance) Wave Thanxx Deja Vu MAMA 2019 SBS 2022 (New World plus Guerrilla) Honestly-just click on any dance practice and you won’t be disappointed. But Inception is a totally different style from these two. Ateez use an in house dance company-BBTrippin to choreograph and as their back up dancers. BBTrippin also works with other artists but Ateez does all their work with them.

I've been a dancer for many years, and watching them is always a gift. Idk how many times I've paused this practice and seen many of the movements in slow motion.....cause the speed of the steps, how clean they make them....INSANE! Just.....ATEEZ! Always surprise me, although I follow them from the beginning. They have no limits, they have no ceiling. Kings of performance, Kings of energy & Kings of passion. Love them.

19:36 THANXX That’s why Ateez, for me, is so special. I tried so hard to stay away from K-pop for a long time, really, but then I discovered them at the end of December of 2021 and I was surprised at first then the more I learned about them the more impressive they were. The fact EVERY SINGLE MEMBER HAS HIS OWN MOMENT TO SHINE during a performance and a song is amazing. If you try to learn about them more you will find out there are three members that belong to the “Demon line” because when they perform they become demons and their performances are out of this world, and they are Hongjoong, Seonghwa and San. Than we have the members that are amazing performers that compensate with their body movements and they are Yunho, Yeosang and Wooyoung. Finally we have the ones with the most distinctive voices the Singer Jongho and the Rapper with deep voice Mingi. And when you learn more about them, you will understand that if you try to watch their performances closely, far away or blindly you will still be able to realise immediately that’s an Ateez’s performance.

Ateez have a powerful elegance about them that is just perfect for the story-telling in their choreography. The passion and emotion is hypnotic, and like you said, no move is wasted. Every dance matches the narrative of each song so well that I get swept away by it. I love watching their dance practices so much, my bias is San. He was the dancer in Guerrilla that you said had a hip hop swag. Not only is he so expressive, you seriously have to check out his fancams, but his talent is even more impressive when you realise that he hadn’t danced before joining Ateez! He literally dances out of his skin on every performance. Loved the reaction and yes, you should so do an Ateez week, they are so addictive. My faves are Stray Kids but Ateez are a very, very close second.

As a Yunho bias, the center at 4:50 and 15:32 I just need to point out that he's their lead dancer and he's bloody fantastic and deserves more recognition (in my opinion). If you're interested, you can look up "Yunho dancing" on here and there will be a video called "ATEEZ talking about dance captain/choreographer YUNHO". It's from 2 years ago so it's kind of outdated BUT it shows how fantastic he is. Either way, I'm glad I stumbled upon this video! I loved your comments and excitement about the choreo :)

I think you'd really enjoy BBTrippin's channel too. They're the dancers who mainly choreograph for ATEEZ as well as other artists such as PSY (and many other P-NATION artists) most recently was their THAT THAT choreo. It's cool to see their version and then compare it with ATEEZ's performance as ATEEZ usually switch it up in certain ways to add their own flavour into it.

MORE ATEEZ PLEASE. My absolute all time fav group. Ateez performance ability is, in my opinion, second only to seventeen. I’ve seen them both live multiple times and they are unmatched by another other groups in the industry.

Agree completely with this comment. Seventeen is my first ult, Ateez has slid into second place for me. Which makes sense, as Ateez themselves have said many times that they admire Seventeen immensely and call them “our favorite sunbaenims”

Baby 🐻 Jongho doesn't get enough recognition as a dancer, but he's the one that drew me in during their KQ Fellaz days. He was sooooo intense! San is the one who slid in & he's very good a krumping. He's also a 3rd degree black belt in Taekwoondo. Sometimes they leak into his choreo.
@lavxsh7850

Hi! Thanks for checking out the dance practices. Here are some facts, and some answers to your questions! The member you were talking about at 4:33 is named Choi San and he actually didn't even know how to dance when he joined KQ Ent., he was just a vocalist! He learnt how to dance from his other members and he grew to love dancing quite a lot. You also mentioned a hip hop swagger he has, which he developed when ATEEZ went to America to train for dancing during predebut. He worked with professional American Dancers to learn as well and was taught hip hop during that time! He's praised mostly for his absolute intensity and his ability to really get into a character on stage! The member at 5:32 is Song Mingi, he went to Seungri's Dance Academy, alongside his best friend Yunho, when he was younger and has excelled both in dancing and in producing and writing lyrics! He gets solo/center moments during his rap verses! And heres a fun fact, ATEEZ are given the choreography by BBTRIPPIN and are then free to adjust it how they please. They themselves make adjustments to the choreography to better fit each members dancing style and Yunho, their main and lead dancer, helps teach them the choreography afterwards. You can actually see the difference if you watch an ATEEZ dance practice and then watch a BBTRIPPIN dance practice! It's super cool! Hope you can check out some of their live performances as well! I think you'd love them a lot.

I got into Kpop because of the insane choreographies and the super talented dancers. Ateez is one of my top groups for that reason! Other groups with some very cool choreographies and very talented dancers (with music and dance styles I personally prefer) are Stray Kids and NCT 127. I highly recommend you check out the dance practice for Ay-Yo by NCT 127, choreographed by Rie Hata. It is my favorite choreo at the moment! Also, thanks for the video I enjoyed it a lot, love your insights!!

04:06 The guy in the center you praised for the "Guerilla" move is Seonghwa, arguably one of the best performers in the entire 4th gen along with fellow members San and Seonghwa who created the first Kpop demon line during Ateez' debut which, in case you don't know yet, refers to their impressively intense performance during their live shows, their madly fast and expressive switching facial expressions while performing and their powerful presence on stage while performing. 05:22 That's Mingi. His positions are main rapper and main dancer. 13:28 RICHARD 😭❤️ Many Atiny have decided to call the Halateez outfit scarecrow Richard and I think that's neat.

"who needs coffee when we have Ateez" - the right quote to start 2023, thank you Chris for this pearl and this video reaction! Also for your own enjoyment of Ateez I recommend you look for their whole LA KCON 22 performance (around 30 mins - i don't think there is an official complete upload, there are fan videos on youtube), also some B-Sides performances with choreo, for example Rocky, Win, Horizon and Utopia. One last thing, you could also check out BBTrippin youtube channel, they are the choreographers and dancers for Ateez as well as other Kpop artists.

ATEEZ are touring Europe in feb!! Seeing them in LDN on feb 22nd :) Still tickets available and every seat is a good seat at ateez because hearing their vocals live is an irreplaceable experience 🙏🙏 Definitely worth looking into it 👀 Thank you for the quick reaction haha 🥳🥳🥳 This cb is even more impressive on top of all this because they're showing off even more of the member's incredible talents and unique points. Feels like now they have more room to FULLY show every little side of each of the members?? For example, for this performance, Jongho uses a head mic instead of a hand mic because he's even more active in the choreo - when often his dance talent has been overlooked because obviously the focus is on his vocals. And also, they finally made gooood use of Yeosang's STUNNING deep vocals... the day we've all been praying for 😭 Wooyoung's beautiful high-tone vocals are used and shown way better in Halazia too. And since Guerrilla we've heard more emphasis on the growl tone in San's vocals and it's absolutely making my LIFE (sorry, I'm a vocal tones kinda gal, and san, yeosang & wooyoung's tones are super gorgeous and add so much more flavour to the mix, it's so much better to use them properly) the whole group is great vocalists/rappers and the whole group is great dancers at the same time and i really hope ppl stop lumping them into just singer vs. dancer etc etc

Chris, I want you to react to Steezy reacting to Ateez and also react to all Ateez choreos. If you want to quickly understand the context for each MV, we have the KZbinr BOOKISH THEORIES who does that and recently did one for Halazia as well. Ateez's choreos are connected to the lore just like how EXO members show their superpowers like teleportation, controlling force, controlling water, freezing/unfreezing, controlling fire and wind etc in their choreography. Love from India. Peace.
