Have you tried using the Prime 4+ on Flow 8 Deck? I was wondering because it doesn't have Dennon listed as a controller but it works with Numark. I will have my new decks tomorrow and saw how great the software looked for mashups. Last but not least I gotta show some love and say you are very inspiring. Your videos are great and you can see how much you love music and helping others to get to the next level. Happy New Year brotha!

I'm brand new to djing and thought ability to have 8 decks could help to have loops, samples and stems lined up in key to throw in when I want. I'm getting ahead of myself and need to worry about the basics and then move to transitions and phrasing. Anyway have a good one 🤙

When equipment is new, everyone has to agree to show it off at the same time to promote it. Same thing with films. Films are shown to critics and then within certain time from it's release critics agree on a date to release their thoughts. It's a promotional tool.

That's an awesome mix! I don't know weather to buy the prime 4 plus or the AZ. I've heard the AZ is club standard so just say I bought the prime then went to dj in a club would I get confused because it's all completely different buttons and features?

Not *too* different. Like, some effects and layout parts might confuse some DJs, but they aren't too bewildering. Do a side-by-side comparison of the AZ's mixer section and the Prime 4's, and you'll see some differences, but nothing too extreme haha

I feel Denon is leading vs Pioneer in sheer features for the cost. Something in me still prefers the reliability and aesthetics of Pioneer equipment. That being said, I loved the mix, and this IS a nice piece of equipment. As a stand alone, is this better than the Pioneer variants DJ Carlo in your opinion?

Carlo, I have a newbie question for you. As someone looking to get into this, hopefully with the controller you have here. Can I ask if this mix or others like it are you shooting from the hip or is this something you would have rehearsed, or based it off something you have done before? If you were to do this again could you replicate it? Actually this has made me think of another question. So can anyone publish a mix to like Spotify or something like that? Is this how mixes are generally created? Or is that done by another process? Sorry for the dumb questions. Anyone else feel free to chip in, Im trying to soak up as much info as I can.

I'm not sure about the Innofader, gotta check up on that! The effects are pretty close to Pioneer's in terms of quality, but I dont know much about stems support. I hope they don't abandon it!

It's so dope but I expected to be able to do stems straight outta the Prime. You have to prepare the tracks on engine DJ first so you can't do mixes from stems on the fly. Kinda defeats the purpose.

It actually makes sense as doing stems on the fly on standalones requires an immense amount of RAM. Since not everyone uses stems, it wouldn’t make sense to drive up the production costs. But hey, at least it’s possible now, even if it needs prep 😆
