Pro Drifter's Reaction to My 500HP Nissan 240sx!

My Nissan 240sx was a long project of a couple years with the 2jz swap and much more. Now however, I find myself hanging out with Pro drifter from Formula Drift Federico who runs the Ferrari 599 drift car. Never being in a 2jz S chassis before, I figured I'd show him the build, give him a ride, and see his reaction. Thanks for watching!

That car has got to be so much fun, and it's so clean and smooth running from what I hear. I understand that it has been a work in progress for a while, but you made the Toyota engine work so well and be so refined in the Nissan chassis and you rarely see that in extreme engine swap cases like this. Granted, I would've liked to have seen an RB26 swap, but the 2JZ has more displacement and seems to be more refined. I built a 508 whp EK Civic coupe (which I'm sure you've experienced before) and it's alot of fun as well.

Had an '84 Pontiac Fiero with a clutch like that (& custom roll cage) & 99% of the ppl who wanted to drive my car aa mess around couldn't cuz would keep stalling or mot even start car at all because of the clutch. But, set it like that on purpose and loved it, also had a short gear box; & loved it all. Was a fun little, LIGHT, car to have some fun in.

Find you a Audi A4 with the B5 chassis and has a 1.8T AEB motor in it (1996-1999.5) and hopefully Quattro and enjoy.....much like many other vehicles, everything you need to know about this vehicle has already been spelled out for you by the aftermarket world! Seriously it's a good car and "backyard mods" work so good on it!

Hey David I've sent you this link now about 10 times. This will solve your long throw issue but won't make it any less like a truck unfortunately the gate is very stiff and with the short shifter it is very short but takes more effort to slot into gear. In saying that I much prefer the cube shifter on the r154. Very direct and with new bushes as well made the r154 a bit more bearable. I have this shifter in my ma70 supra build 580 hp at the wheels and I regret going the r154 as well. It's too heavy and not nice to shift.
