blue loosing his entire fleet like that in the middle of the video is the exact reason defeat in detail is so effective. If blue had fought those fire ships with his entire fleet all at once it would've been a quick wipe-up for him, but instead he split his fleet and each split force fought Red's entire navy 1 at a time who destroys them each before moving to the next.

Going to hunt for elephants in AOE1 is quite a fond childhood memory of mine. Didn't dare to hunt them without at least 6-8 villagers all moving out and then bringing the food back to the TC. Good times

My childhood memories contain a lot more of William Wallace's historically accurate machine gun cars or playing tower defence after I realized the AI wouldn't attack walls if there was a hole.

54:20 please developers Make TRANSPORT SHIP icons show what ships are loaded or empty! When preparing a big landing mission with over 5 transports it easily gets messy and it would be great if icons shows "empty" or "loaded" The status flags on the ingame ships is nice, but if there's tons of navy around to protect the transports it quickly gets crowded and hard to see whats what and it wastes precious time

This map seems amazing for cannon galleon civs. The ability to move water control --> area denial on land (allowing you to build military production buildings on the enemy island).

- "Umbrella" was definitely the most overplayed, now that I think about it. Though the summer of 2007 saw Avril Lavigne's "Girlfriend" played a few million times and I unashamedly sought it out station to station. That song has layers of musicality no pop song should have.

Kudos for the stubborness of Spiecy wiener in this game. 11 Also he showed some creativity with his last attempt to come back. He really tried hard to make that crossbow/bombard cannon composition to push blue from the woodline to scramble some wood for the future. Also: I liked the attempts to pro-hunt the elephants!

Speaking as a noob, all the beginner tutorials focus on land map builds and strategy so I have no idea on how to play water maps

African ,Mezzo, African and mezzo civs should only have canoe navies. Able to fire arrows ,fast ,agile and only using 0.5 pop space but they don't have access to Gally line, nor cannon. Gallons. All canoes can carry/transport 3-5 units. Don’t have access to fire ships but get fire canoes that shoot fat covered fire arrows (Fat burns intensely hot).

Best thing to do on this map is a sneaky vil with transport and make a military building in the back of their island. Archers or a barracks mass like 10 and gg they quit after u hit their food or wood eco lol

How bad a strategy is to land in the opponents island? You can go to the very south and hope to not be noticed. You'll get there later, but ideally they won't expect it and feudal units may do a lot of damage. You can also keep a vill in 'your' side and build a TC in castle, maybe, as well as the early dock.

New players watching to many pro games is the problem. Instead of a new player just playing the game, slowly learning how to rule,manage an eco, manage a city and then focus on commanding an army and learning tactical manoeuvres , new players want to focus on ''quick walls'' fancy boar lures , house blocks and all the ''Pro'' moves. But in the end they are still so weak because they know not how to think strategically in a strategy war game. I think these kinds of players should worry less about what the pros do and just focus on learning how to play the game as it was intended for new players.

The problem is that people want to appear in T90's streams more than what T90 needs content, so the supply is greater than the demand. That inflates the value of any match to be negative, because I'm pretty sure people would be willing to pay T90 to appear in his stream rather than the other way around. I understand your noble idea but in a world of free market that won't work, unless it provides more value to the actual stream and people would be willing to pay for it. Or if T90 was a saint and just wanted to give away money.
