My core issue is less the difference between "fighting for real" and "sparring". Laymen overestimate that one from time to time. The problem is who she fights. Those guys' role in those sessions are to essentially be punching bags for her to build up her confidence. We did this at the boxing gym I grew up going to. in my boxing gym, some 10 years ago, we had the current strawweight womens champion in our Team and she was so damn skilled and quick that she could outbox any of us amateur guys but she always knew that the moment she steps in ring with one of the prospect professionals she will get overpowered. i used to do womens amateur boxing and ive sparred with guys a few times there is no comparison. men are so much faster and hit harder its crazy.

GOD I LOVE THIS! I'm so tired of Shields running her busted grill thinking she can actually beat men. NOBODY denies how talented of a female boxer she is, but as LaVar Ball once said: "You need to stay in your lane." I'm sure even an average male boxer with decent power who was allowed to go at least 65% with Shields would have been humbled her by now. So glad to finally see this, and I hope it's a message to all the other women out there. Men and women don't compete against each other athletically for a reason, so STOP. NOW! It's not a problem you want to have, as Clarissa Shields and anyone who swam against "Lia" Thomas has already learned.
