Caleb Williams game against ND means nothing. Penix game against the national champ, he’s the worst. Now you know why teams can’t pick QBs

They've got to make it fit their narrative. If the facts fit your story, use them. If they don't, then say they don't matter.

@@user-oh2hs6jh5x Who is "they", and why would "they" have a "narrative"? People are offering an opinion about football players. Do you honestly think there is some cabal of fans secretly conspiring to create a false narrative that tries to omit facts related to the NFL draft? The vast majority of football fans know little to nothing about these players unless they hear some draft guru talking about one. What percentage of fans do you imagine have spent some real time trying to investigate everything they could to know what they're talking about?

Unless New England just doesn't want to trade with the Vikings there's no way their two higher draft picks in the same draft would be turned down over Denver.

Broncos have cap and draft capital issues. Does not make sense for them to trade up 😂

I know lol I find it hilarious that there mocked to trade up so frequently, like they can't afford to be desperate and get a qb especially move up for one. If anything, I see them moving down to the mid to late first. Bo nix is not getting drafted in the first. I could see Denver moving back and maybe drafting bo in the 2nd or 3rd. He really fits what payton likes to do in a offense fast short pass game. As a seahawks fan I hope it works out for them.

@@Garsia95Denver could easily trade up if there’s a guy who Sean Payton absolutely wants. The issue is if they have to outbid another team who can offer more. Yes the draft capital isn’t the best, but they still have a 1st round pick this year and next year they could offer. Not to mention Patrick Surtain who any team in the league would love to have on their roster. Plus guys who aren’t valued as high as Surtain, but still have value like Courtland Sutton and Garett Bolles. You’re acting like Denver moving up is absolutely impossible.

Who do you think developed Drew Brees into a HOF player? In 2006 not a single NFL team other than the Saints offered Brees a contract. He had one good year on his 5 year resume & was coming off shoulder surgery so serious both he and many NFL teams thought his career might be over. He not only turned Brees into the guy he became, but he also went to the Super Bowl with Kerry Collins & he's the guy who discovered Tony Romo who was a UDFA. The entire NFL knows that Payton is an exceptional offensive mind who knows how to develop a QB.

@@user-zr4km5ns8t I’m not buying that at all Bree’s did the rehab on his body and realized this is his second and last chance to play the game he loves and he balled out that’s the truth and tony romo really? I’m taking Russ over romo any day. And just to clear I asked rookie qb

@@rustyfrost7817 I didn't say that Brees didn't deserve credit for fighting though injuries. I said that Payton is the guy who coached him into a HOF quarterback. It's true. Go look up his time spent in San Diego. Brees had one good season in 2004, then he declined in 2005 & sustained the shoulder injury. In fact Brees went through a period in San Diego that convinced the Chargers to draft his replacement. In 2006 the Saints were the only team to offer him a contract. He flunked a physical in Miami in fact. Nearly all his success came with Payton. Are you really trying to tell me Sean Payton deserves no credit for Drew Brees successful NFL career? That's absurd. Obviously he has not developed a rookie QB since he never had one. So your point about that is moot....irrelevant. It's not irrelevant that he went to a Super Bowl with Kerry Collins, nor that he's the guy who discovered Tony Romo. Romo was an UDFA, so what has that got to do with Russell Wilson? Absolutely nothing. Payton wanted to play a style that is not Wilson's strong suit. He has a right to play with the QB he wants, so if you're holding onto some sort of grudge over that, get rid of it. You seem bent on disliking Payton. He's #20 on the all time wins list. Even given how bad the Broncos are right now, if he continues on a trajectory that matches the way he rebuilt the Saints during two distinct rebuilding periods, & he coaches 10 more years, he will pass Tom Landry for #5 on the all time wins list. Only ten coaches in NFL history have spent 15 seasons as head coaches with a winning percentage higher than Payton's. He's going to be in the HOF, & we're very lucky to have this guy.

@@rustyfrost7817 He was the OC & he's the guy who pointed the Cowboys to drafting Romo. Who cares what he won or didn't win, he was a UDFA who went from being below Brock Purdy status to 9 years starting in the league & 4 pro bowls. He finished with a better career that a lot of first round drafted quarterbacks. Payton didn't "ride the coattails" you idiot. He molded Brees into the player he was.

Sean Payton did not trade for Drew Brees, he signed him as a free agent. Brees was on his way out in San Diego after the Chargers drafted Phillip Rivers. He was coming off a down year & had a major shoulder injury just 3 months before Payton signed him. What on earth does any of that have to do with Jim Harbaugh being willing to trade one of the top 5 QBs in the NFL to a division rival so he could draft a rookie who even he did not think was ready to handle a major role as the primary offensive threat in college? There is 0% chance that happens.

@@lassiejr2115 Jim Harbaugh didn't even make JJ McCarthy the centerpiece of his offense at Michigan, so there is zero chance he trades his 26 year old franchise QB just so he can reunite with JJ. The likelihood of that happening is about the same as him signing Collin Kaepernick.
