So true. I think shit shows like this could reinvigorate broodwar for the non korean audiences and players. Sure 1v1 is the most technically sound, but weird maps and weird win conditions like ffa have so much to offer. I still play 3v3 bgh because if all the weird scenarios that it creates.

Other race supply is separate from protoss supply, even though it shows it as additive in observer view, protoss can't actually benefit from overlord supply for protoss units.

I also thought it was weird that mini could use the overlord as a shuttle when he never researched the ventricle sac ability. When you mind control a unit from another race, you don’t keep the upgrades, but i guess you keep the abilities...? That was unexpected and the fact that mini knew that would be the case is impressive.

@@nafet I don't know how it works in SC2 (is there even mind control in SC2?) but in BW the supplies of the 3 races are different, meaning that as a Protoss, you can technically get 600/600 by getting 200/200 from each of the races. The Overlord supply would have been beneficial if Mini was to produce Zerg units, but if he were supplycapped on his Protoss units, it wouldn't have helped.

Absolutely incredible match, haven't seen an FFA this exciting in a long time. Mini had a strong unit advantage at one point and probably would have won if he played more aggressively; wasted too much time clearing out Shuttle's base for no reason. If those goons had shut down Shine's expansions, it would have been GG. Still, it was a long and hard-fought battle to the very end.

Worst map is best. The result speaks for itself. Yeah, the critters can be annoying and I'm sure pros could figure out some cheezy meta plays if they actually practiced on it. But at least how it was able to affect them without practice resulted in a really good game here.
