He drove about 10 feet thinking he was told to do that... because it WAS the entrance to the golf course he was playing and he probably figured they knew he was playing in it... the cop held on to the car like he could physically stop a driving range rover with shear strength... the cop was wrong and couldn't physically stop the car by holding on to the car... so he charged Scottie with assault. Sounds like a "good" cop to me! My guess would be a over zealous rookie.
